Directors Minutes

9:30 am Thursday, April 30, 2015 Present: Dave McGarrah, Spencer Aggus, Ron Franklin, Chris Nickle, Jennifer Reaves, Judy Lowe, Brandi Haddock, and Danny Ross. Sta Present: Kim Cox

Roll call was taken by sign in. Meeting was called to order by Dave McGarrah, President. Motion was made to approve the minutes from the March BOD meeting. Motion was made to approve Agenda as emailed.

David McGarrah, President, introduced Brent Powers from the Joplin Globe to talk about a few things REALTOR related.

1. They will be doing another Open House Weekend in the Fall, for ALL areas of our MLS coverage. More info to come. 2. The possibility of having a feed for an MLS type page on their website, referencing our association as the provider. A work special work session has been

set for Tuesday, May 5th at 1:30 pm for the Board of Directors. David McGarrah, President presented financials for Treasurer.

1. Received financials for March 2015 as emailed. 2. Motion made and approved to accept financials for March 2015. 3. Motion made to approve funding for RCE designation for Kim, contingent upon her signing a contract.

Brandi Haddock, Director/MLS Chair Report.

1. A note will go out to DR’s on the following: Reminder of NO sold data to be released, listings may still be listed on Zillow, sending also information about how Zillow affects Realtors, and that there is a task force working on how to list auction properties on the MLS.

2. A recommendation is being made to the Governing Docs Committee to add or change the verbiage in Policy and MLS Rules regarding logo branding and all the specific guidelines that would apply to it (ie; 90/10 rule, etc)

3. A recommendation is being made to the Finance Committee to gather an idea of projected funding for a new public branding for theogar.com. 4. A recommendation to the BOD special session work group; please look at article for consumers/agents regarding Zillow.

1. Gave a Flexmls update and things should run through smoothly; all concerns should be emailed to the board office. Kim Cox, AE’s Report

1. Jurisdiction for Carthage was approved by NAR and is being sent to Gov Docs Committee to add to Bylaws ballot for Sept vote.

Spencer Aggus, President-Elect’s Report 1. Strategic Planning –` No meeting this month. Possibly finished for the year. 2. Program & Events – Minutes reviewed. Working on details for the upcoming June 18th All Member Luncheon at 11:30. 3. Governing Documents – No quorum, meeting rescheduled to May 7

th at 1:30 pm.

4. Membership & Community Services – See attached minutes. A motion was made and seconded to approve the conditional memberships as listed below.

1. Accounts past due presented. New Business:

1 Discussed possible Leadership Academy applicants. A motion was made to send Judy Lowe and Brandi Haddock if they can attend all 5 meetings required. Brandi and Judy are to let Kim know as soon as possible.

2 RPAC Trivia Night is coming and we need more teams. A set of tickets to a concert will be auctioned off as well. 3 Brought forward requests from RPR, Terradatum and Top Producer, all requesting full IDX feeds to run market statistics. These are not 3rd party listing syndication companies. A

motion was made to allow full IDX feeds to these 3 vendors, with confidentiality agreements in place. 4 One of the Directors brought in an advertisement for a builder who is using the MLS logo without stating the Broker’s name with it. Kim to send a letter with copyright

instructions; both to the broker and to the builder. All the above motions passed with majority vote. Meeting adjourned.
