Article 3 - APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATION

3.1.02 Addition: In case the company owning the product trade mark is not an industrial concern, one of the following procedures may be applied: a) the application for the licence to use the Mark is submitted by the manufacturer,

together with a statement of the company owning the trade mark in which the latter undertakes to comply with conditions as per points 5.3, 5.5.04, 5.5.05, 6.1.01 and 6.1.04 (see Annex 3);

b) the application for the licence to use the Mark is submitted by the company owning

the trade mark together with a statement of the manufacturer in which the latter undertakes to comply with the conditions as per points 3.2.01, 5.5.01, 5.5.02, 6.1.01, 6.1.02, 6.1.03, 6.1.04 and 6.1.05 (see Annex 4).

3.1.03 Addition: In case of motor capacitors, EMI suppression capacitors, inductors and filters, capacitors for fluorescent and other discharge lamp circuits and capacitors for microwave ovens, each application shall include a series of capacitors as defined in Annex 1. In case of static shunt power capacitors of self-healing type, each application shall include a model or a series (type), as defined in Annex 1. Any manufacturing modification in the model or series that the Applicant wishes to introduce must be clearly indicated on the application form. IMQ will decide whether the variations concerned change the product sufficiently to make it necessary for the Applicant to submit a separate application for a new model or series.

Article 4 - IMQ SYMBOLS

4.1 Addition: Products allowed to use the IMQ mark shall be marked with the following symbol:

Exceptions may only be made to this general rule in special cases only, when the component dimensions are extremely small. Such an exception may only be granted on specific request of the manufacturer, who has to prove the physical impossibility to apply the IMQ symbol. In such a case, the IMQ symbol shall, however, be reproduced on the package of the components. EMI suppression filters and capacitors for fluorescent and other discharge lamp circuits allowed to use the ENEC mark shall be marked with one of the following symbols:
