The Cathedral City of Chichester with its more comprehensive shopping and famous Festival Theatre and Harbour is about12 miles to the south. Close by is the Goodwood Estate with its renowned horse racing and motor racing. About 7.3 miles to the north east is the historic town of Petworth with the Petworth House and Petworth Park and a town offering a wide variety of independent shops.
