WHAT IS MARRIED LIFE?

Marriage life calls for a lot of patience, trust, endurance, commitment, perseverance and on top of that, love. You can have someone to hold, cuddle, tell you how much you're loved and a shoulder to cry on when you need it. You have someone to come home to, to share your day with. To comfort you when you've had a crappy day. You don't have to impress your spouse by looking perfect and acting perfect. You don't have to spend a lot of money on dates. You don't have to worry if so and so is going to call or what so and so thinks.

ADVANTAGES OF SINGLE LIFE More freedom and independence

Being single means you have more freedom. You answer to no one. If you’re single, you don’t have to let anyone know when you decide to go somewhere. It allows for more spontaneity in your life. On.

More control over your time

We live in a busy society. When you’re single, you may have more time for yourself and things that you like to do. You can set your own schedule. Being single may give you more time for hobbies, relaxation, being with friends and family, and so on

More control over your money

In addition to time, relationships also require money, and a lot of it. Being single gives you full financial freedom. Being single may also make it easier to plan for saving money for the future and for unforeseen circumstances.

Not having to tolerate another’s annoying habits

Being single allows you to give your patience a rest and live in a non-frustrating environment. The only disgusting habits you’ll have to put up with are your own.

ADVANTAGES OF SINGLE LIFE No emotional roller coaster rides

When a person is in a relationship, especially when it is just starting, your emotions can go completely out of whack. Your mind can go a mile a minute constantly thinking things like, “Does s/he still like me?”, “Did I say the right thing?”, “What should I do now?”, “When should I call next?” The list goes on and on. It’s enough to make a person go bonkers with all these thoughts running rampant. In addition, being single means that you won’t have to worry about going through a heart-wrenching breakup.

Ability to become aware of who you are

Being single can give you a deeper awareness of who you really are - not someone as defined by a relationship. During the initial stages of a relationship, you try to make yourself look as good as possible to impress the other person, and often find yourself saying and doing things you normally wouldn’t do. Being single allows you to be yourself and develop who you really are.

You can be your own boss

Relationships are synonymous with compromise. You eventually have to sacrifice something you really like -- a football game or extra cheese on your pizza -- for the good of the pair. Use your single time to treat yourself a little more. In small doses, selfishness is good for the soul.

ADVANTAGES OF MARRIED LIFE Less illness and live longer

Studies have shown that married person tend to live longer than single person. It seems that marriage has a stabilizing influence upon men, resulting in less stress and more opportunities to relieve stress and gain pleasure.

Happier with less depression

Marriage is, for many, a tried and true way to feel less lonely: Commit to someone for the rest of your life, and hopefully you’ve gained a constant companion.

Shared History and Experience

Joining your life with the life of your partner creates a family. Even if you never have children, you will share a family history for as long as you remain married. Shared life experiences provide shared memories, and shared memories help to form an identity for you individually and for you as a couple. The more you experience together, the more your relationship will grow and the stronger your bond will become.

Emotional Stability

The emotional security marriage adds safety and stability to a relationship. While marriage is not irreversible, it is a strong bond that is emotionally and legally difficult to break. This makes many married people feel like their relationship is stronger and will be more resilient when challenged by circumstance or disagreement. Emotional stability translates to an increased sense of well-being and greater chance at more enduring happiness.

ADVANTAGES OF MARRIED LIFE  Financial Benefits

In the eyes of the law, married couples have many financial advantages over unmarried couples. In addition to the benefits of combining your income with that of your spouse, married couples pay lower taxes and get higher tax returns than unmarried couples.

Produces healthy and more stable children

If you do choose to have children, they will benefit from your secure marriage. A home with two attentive parents is more likely to raise healthy, happy children than a broken home. It is also more likely to raise children who understand the value of a healthy relationship, and how to keep that relationship going over time. This will make them more likely to form their own strong, long-term love relationships.

Someone to trust with your heart

Your heart led you to this man or woman. Your gut told you that he or she was worthy of your love. Your mind told you to marry him or her. If you trust yourself, you know you made the right choice. And that’s a strong foundation on which to build trust.

DISADVANTAGES OF MARRIED LIFE

Everything you own belongs to his/her and vice-versa The sacrifices or compromises you have to make in order

to get along with your in-laws who particularly get on your nerves

You have to give up so much of your freedom in order to stay married

You cannot afford to spend your own money at will because you have a family to support

Having to live with the same person (who sometimes annoys or bores you to tears) for the rest of your life

You cannot afford to be selfish, self-centred, self-conceited and inconsiderate anymore

MARRIAGE V SINGLE LIFE

You get to a point in marriage, if you married the right person, where it is comfortable. Like your favorite pair of shoes that you could wear everyday for the rest of your life.

Single life is better up to the point you fall in love. Then being single really sucks and you want to be with that person. If you marry someone you don't love, then marriage sucks.

Page 13: P RESENTATION ON S INGLE L IFE V M ARRIED LIFE. W HAT IS MARRIED LIFE ? Marriage life calls for a lot of patience, trust, endurance, commitment, perseverance

MARRIAGE V SINGLE LIFE

Let’s start with the married side of the single versus married life battle. Marriage definitely has its advantages. There is no more hunting for the perfect date. You get to finally start building something with someone who has made a commitment to you. You can stay home and start enjoying the routine life of knowing what to expect. In addition to that, you can take your makeup so to speak. Sitting around in sweat pants is definitely more comfortable than the clothes you wear when you are trying to impress someone enough to marry you. Gone are the days of pretending that you like certain things or are a certain way (when you aren’t) because your spouse will learn the truth quickly. You also start getting a certain level of respect from other people in this world who seem to see marriage as a rite of passage into adult hood.

MARRIAGE V SINGLE LIFE

Other advantages of married life versus single life are two incomes, which can make it a lot easier to get the things you want in life. You will always have someone to wake up to in the morning, to wish you happy birthday and to spend the holidays with. There will be someone there when you get home in a terrible mood and someone that you can take out your frustrations on who won’t hate you for it. Married life often allows a seamless tradition to having children and can always give you an out when you are invited to do those things in life that you just don’t want to do. One of the nicest things about married life is having a partner. If the marriage is good and stable having that person in your life that is a constant can make you feel stronger and better equipped to tackle this world.

MARRIAGE V SINGLE LIFE Single people also are not as tied down to one locale as

married people. If a single person gets an amazing job offer on the other side of the country – they can jump right on it without consulting the family or asking anyone else how they feel.

The cons of both lifestyles differ from person to person. If you are involved in a bad marriage than single life will seem like a dream come true. Likewise, if you are unable to find someone to spend your time with, then you will likely feel lonely and frightened no matter how successful your life is. The key to weighing the differences is actually in enjoying the lifestyle you have while you have it.

Page 16: P RESENTATION ON S INGLE L IFE V M ARRIED LIFE. W HAT IS MARRIED LIFE ? Marriage life calls for a lot of patience, trust, endurance, commitment, perseverance

MARRIAGE V SINGLE LIFE You cannot debate married life versus single life without

mentioning the one thing that single people have, that married people do not! FREEDOM! Freedom to go and come as they please without having to explain or ask someone else. Freedom to hang out and get drunk if they want to without worrying that someone will get mad. Freedom to have a one-night stand with someone. Freedom to buy whatever you want, with no around to tell you no. Freedom to be as clean or messy in your own home as you want without worrying that your make up on the sink will become your husbands pet peeve. Freedom to have a bed to yourself, to not have to listen to someone else snore and freedom to sleep however you want to without sharing the covers.

CONCLUSION

It seems that it is human nature to always be thinking that the grass on the other side of the fence is always greener. Perhaps that is why it is most important to live life to your standards each moment. Carpe diem! Seize the life you have and try to pull all the goody out of it so that you don’t spend your future regretting any decisions or missed opportunities. And even so, you still will. You will look forward and back as if your brain is pendulum swinging in both directions. At some point, you will fall nicely in the middle, being able to enjoy the ebb and flow of your life and remaining both grateful and optimistic about what your future holds, whether you are single or married!

CONCLUSION

I feel married life is better. Single life means a travel without destination. Marriage life is a real life. Marriage is compulsory for everyone. Then only you will have one person to love and to be loved.
