LPS L@w was founded in 2015 by Léon Patrice Sarr. Today the firm includes 10lawyers who are involved in all aspects of business law and provide both litigationand advisory support. The team is particularly recognized for its strengths in employment law, debtrecovery, as well as financing and new technology projects. Léon Patrice Sarr, inparticular, is well regarded for his expertise on IT, e-commerce, and cybercrimeand is regularly retained to advise corporations seeking to implement newgeneration projects (blockchain, cryptocurrency, biometric recognition, etc.) inSenegal. In addition to the IT sector, LPS L@w is also very active in the media,telecommunications, energy, banking and insurance sectors.

The Firm regularly advises on cross-border matters within Africa, as well as workinvolving parties located outside Africa, primarily in Europe, Asia and the UnitedStates. PrivacyRules organises the privacy & data protection session of the AfricanBar Association (AFBA) 2019 Annual Conference

PrivacyRules is pleased to be the exclusive partner and organiser of the privacy &data protection session of the African Bar Association (AFBA) 2019 AnnualConference. We will have the unique opportunity of addressing all conferenceparticipants since our session will be the only one on Day 1, immediately followingthe opening ceremony on 2 September.

More than 1500 among dignitaries, lawyers and businesses from the entireAfrican continent are expected to attend.

PrivacyRules Toronto Event PrivacyRules and McMillan LLP look forward to meeting the Members of thealliance and an audience of businesses and potential clients in Toronto for thePrivacyRUles 2019 Annual Conference.

The Conference will focus on the theme: "What can PrivacyRules do formembers that they cannot do on their own?"

The conference will last two full days, Thursday 7 and Friday 8 November.PrivacyRules will also propose social events for the weekend.

On Thursday 7, from 1.30pm to 6.00pm, we will host an open doors event wereto meet the Canadian Business Community. Our members will present theirexpertise and services, and McMillan will lead the discourse on developing a globalprivacy compliance program.

PrivacyRules Webinar on GDPR First Year

PrivacyRules launches its fourth webinar dedicated to the GDPR in its first-yearimplementation.

PrivacyRules gathered six of its EU experts to analyze the different approaches oftheir respective countries to the GDPR with particular attention to the decisions oftheir respective Supervisory Authorities and the related lessons learned. Theparticipating experts were:
