WE ARE IN NEED OF SNACKS. . . . . .Wonderful Wednesday resumed on February 1 and that means over 85 children will fill our hallways after school for music, Bible

stories, recreation, crafts and MORE! That always means that 85+ very hungry children will be here. We are in need of individually packaged snacks and drinks (especially drinks right now). Thank you for supporting our children’s ministries!

By Mary Abbott

January was a busy month for youth! This past weekend 38 youth attended Revolution, the SC Youth Conference that is held every year in Columbia. The speaker this year had a powerful message based on Jeremiah 18. We learned that we have great value and that God is constantly repurposing and reshaping us to live the life He intended. It was a “mountain top experience” for a lot of us!

On Saturday, our LSUMC Jr. Boys 1 team won the state championship for their division, a carry-over event from our previous weekend in Greenville. Congratulations to the following boys and coaches for a great season: Sam Ferguson, Matthew Cassidy, Sam White, Tate Abbott,

Robert Inabinet, Ben Battiata, Jake Tanner, Kyle Cassidy & Bobby Inabinet.

Sunday we will celebrate Souper Bowl of Caring by collecting money at the end of each worship service. The funds will be divided between Food for the Soul and Christian Community Ministries. Youth will be located at each exit to collect monetary donations. Sunday night, youth will celebrate the Super Bowl. We will have a party during UMYF. All youth are asked to bring an appetizer to share.

Thank you for praying for our youth as they skied, played basketball, and attended Revolution. Your prayers for their safety and for their spiritual growth always mean so much.

Scouting for Food Bag drop off Saturday, February 4. Bag pickup Saturday, February 11

We sincerely hope you will join us in this very worthy cause.
