Set up and align a two-sided, folded document.

Create an original company logo and use it in a brochure.

Incorporate quality images.

Process:I setup my document and placed fold guides in Indesign. Then I placed my images onthe side and background. I made a logo in Adobe Illustrator and placed it in Indesign. I blended the

ukulele girl on the front page using Adobe Photoshop. I placed line spacing paragraph styles and text

wrap to create consistency and contrast.

Learn to manage Photoshop layers.

Learn to blend images together smoothly, using masks.

Process: I placed the background photo of the temple into Adobe Photoshop and cropped it to be 11

by 8.5. Next, I dragged the window image and cropped it to an 11 by 8.5.Then, I added another layer

to the window image. I selected the lasso tool and selected around a window pane. I then picked up

my blending tool and changed the opacity to 100 percent. I then added text and blended the princess

with a brush set at low opacity.

and abstract the Hawaiian girl because it matched the font beautifully. The colors I used resemble

bright, tropical colors to match the theme. Most of the other elements are just typography. I made sure

to choose fonts from contrasting categories to capitalize on the contrast.

Description:A personally taken photograph of my dog and his perspective of a treat that has been

edited/formatted using Photoshop.

Programs used:

Canon PowerShot Camera SD1200 IS Camera

Adobe Photoshop

Objectives:

Learn basic photography skills.

Use a digital camera to take a quality image, then download it.

Size and crop the image.

Adjust image brightness, contrast, hue and saturation levels.

Use a selection tool to isolate a portion of the image.

Desaturate the selected portion of the image.

Usealterorcolorizeaportionoftheimage.

Process: I took this picture using my digital Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS camera. I used the macro

setting and focused on the treat and blurred out my dog. I then took my image into Photoshop and

cropped it to a 66 inch square. I then selected the background using the quick selection tools, and

appliedtheangledstrokelter.Inallydesaturatedthembackgroundcolortoblackandwhiteand

kept the treat in color.

Process: I made this webpage by coding the HTML and CSS in a program called TextWrangler. I

linked the CSS to my HTML and contrasted the colors by using the logo as a guide. The logo wasmade in a previous project and was originally black and white. I decided to add some color so I could

communicate a Hawaiian Breeze theme throughout the webpage. The stationary for this project has a

watermarkofaowersoIdecidedtoincorporatethatowerinthewebsite.

Description:A color full-bleed Nutritional Counseling event ad to promote Healthy Child, Healthy

World charity using only Microsoft Word and a scanner.

Find, scan and import a high-quality image.

Create a full-bleed design

Use text boxes for layout in Word.

Insert and edit images in Word.

Process: I scanned the claw, candy and peaches image, and then used a Word image effect to

delete most of the background. The font color I used for the heading is in repetition with the claw

silver color. I used Lucida Calligraphy script font because the font markings above the letter I

looks like an apple seed. The apples in between the date, time and location are symbols given by

Word. I right aligned all of my text with the heading. Then I added green boxes behind some text forrepetition,organizationandow.
