2.5 General conditions of guarantee
Any modification or tampering of the software and/or hardware not authorized for the registered, incorrect use or insufficient maintenance of the security de-vices exonerates PAGLIERANI s.a.s. from each and every responsibility of the possible accidents or malfunctioning of the installation. PAGLIERANI s.a.s. shall not be held responsible in any way for accidents in-volving operators as a result of improper operations which are not covered or advised against in this manual. PAGLIERANI s.a.s. shall only be held responsible if the machine has manufac-turing defects; the guarantee shall not be valid if the proprietor fails to use origi-nal spare parts, does not follow the instructions supplied or fails to observe the manufacturer's maintenance schedule and guidelines for use of the machine. PAGLIERANI s.a.s. will only issue a guarantee if its devices are mounted and tested by the company's own specialist operators.
2.6 Glossary
2.6.1 Definitions taken from EC machine directive 392/89
DANGER AREA: Any area inside and/or near to a machine in which the health and safety of persons present may be at risk. PERSON PRESENT: Any person who is partially or totally inside a dan-ger area.

OPERATOR: The person(s) responsible for installing, operating, adjust-ing, servicing, repairing and transporting the machine.
2.6.2 Machine definitions
WORK AREA: the machine is not manned continuously; work areas are described in relevant chapters. AREAS TO BE CHECKED AND ADJUSTED FOLLOWING MALFUNC-TIONS: the areas are described with reference to the plan view of the machine. FIXED SAFETY COVERS: covers, which require special tools to be opened (except standard screwdrivers).
2.6.3 Technical definitions
QUALIFIED STAFF : persons with training, experience, qualifications and knowledge of safety standards, regulations and procedures and service conditions who have been authorised by the plant safety man-ager to carry out all operations necessary; such persons are able to recognise and prevent all risks (for a definition of technician, see also VDE 01 05 or IEC 364). Staff must also have a basic grasp of first aid and rescue techniques to be used in the workplace. NON-SPECIALIST OPERATOR : operator who carries out general cleaning but is not responsible for products or processes. The operator must be trained in how to clean (products, equipment and methods to be used) and check the machine for safety risks before beginning cleaning (to ensure that no parts are live, hot or moving and any other safety risks). PRODUCT OPERATOR : responsible for starting the machine, monitor-ing production stages, normal and emergency stop. QUALIFIED MECHANIC : responsible for initial installation (lubrication, timing, etc.) and routine and extraordinary mechanical maintenance. QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN : responsible for electrical connections dur-ing initial installation and routine and extraordinary electrical mainte-nance.

3 DESCRIPTION
The PRO96 keyboard allows for the setting and displaying of a few of the data memories of the PLC OMRON program in the electrical panel. The main parts of the keyboard panel are as follows: • Display • Keyboard • LEDs

3.1 Display
There are two parts to the display (Figure 3.1-I): • DM number display (00-99); • DM value display.

The left side is made of 2 characters, in which the number of the DM is dis-played. The right side of the display is made of 4 characters and the value of the DM is displayed. In the case in which the DM represents a time, this will be expressed in tenths of seconds.
3.2 Keyboard
The PRO96 keyboard (Figure 3.2-II) consists of the following parts:
• Numerical keys used to programme the required time

3.2.1 Function keys
The keyboard features function keys F1, F2, F3 and F4.

• CLEAR DISPLAY KEY
To programme the DM new value, follow the instructions below: • Turn the DATA ENTER key clockwise, or to qualify the DIP SWITCH 2
(see chapter 5) • Enter the number of the DM in which the value is to be changed (ex-
ample DM10) • Press F1 button (the currently set value is displayed) • Press F3 (the left display starts to flash and the right display is rest to
zero) • Enter the new value • Press F2 to store the new value.

3.3 LEDs
The panel features the following LEDs:
• LED 1 - Power on This LED indicates that the PRO96 keyboard is on
• LED 2 – Enter Data Enter Data selector qualified
• LED 3 - Alarm Notice of alarm present, when they are run
• LED 4 - Program clock
This LED flashes with the frequency of internal clock
• TX , RX - These LEDS flash when the PRO96 keyboard is in transmission or reception phase
