SURFSIDE DEPUTY REPORT
DEPUTY T. OSTGAARD
OCTOBER 31st – NOVEMBER 6th, 2019
On 11/03 I assisted Raymond PD, South Bend PD, Pacific County SO, WDFW Police and WSP with a pursuit that began in Raymond. Speeds hit about 100 MPH on US 101 coming from Raymond, and I deployed my stop sticks on US 101 in Seaview. The suspect hit my stop sticks but continued in to Il-waco. The suspect was finally stopped by WSP with a PIT maneuver, which caused the vehicle to leave the roadway and end the pursuit. The female was taken into custody without further incident. On 11/04 I located a juvenile that had run away from home. When I contacted the juvenile, he had Marijuana on him, and he was placed under arrest. After I searched the male, I located Psilocybin mushrooms, his grandmothers stolen cell phone and her debit card. I later assisted the suspects grandmother with searching his room. Further contraband was located. The suspect is facing poten-tial charges of theft 2nd degree, theft 3rd degree, possession of controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and minor in possession of alcohol. On 11/04 I was dispatched to the 34700 block of I Pl. for an abandoned vehicle. When I arrived, the vehicle owner was on scene to move his vehicle. On 11/04 I was dispatched to the 30700 block of H St. for a welfare check. I contacted the homeown-ers and they were fine.
