    A.) Determine distance by pacing

1.) Set or hold range poles behind points A and B.

2.) Individuals take turn pacing the line from A to B starting with heel or toe over A, walking in

their natural unaffected manner, and counting their paces as they go by themselves or with the

aid of mechanical counting device as they turn.

3.) For trial number two, individual walk from B to A as they go after all they finish trial number

one to avoid meeting each other on the line, this is done to obtain a better pace factor or

    equivalent to P.F.

    Taped distance: 30m

    Computations:

    No. of trials: 5

Mean no. of paces = Total no. of paces / no. of trials = 233.5/5 = 46.7 paces

Pace Factor = Taped distance / mean no. of paces = 30m / 46.7 paces

    = 0.6423982869 meter per pace = 0.64 m/pace

    Computations:

    Mean no. of paces= total no. of paces / no. of trials = 221 / 5 = 44.2 paces

    Paced distance = (mean no. of paces) x (pace factor) = 44.2 x 0.64 = 28.288 m

    Computations:

    Mean no. of paces= total no. of paces / no. of trials = 232.5 / 5 = 46.5 paces

    Paced distance = (mean no. of paces) x (pace factor) = 46.5 x 0.64 = 29.76 m
