Media Cultures 1 Exercise #4 Do Clothes Make Character?

PacMan * gender and 'gender behavior' Male * Stance and posture In the game, PacMan’s stance involves the opening and closing of his mouth when the player moves him. When PacMan is not moving, PacMan shows no sign of movement. * Kinesthetics (how they move and typical movement patterns) PacMan is able to move up, down, left and right in the game. When PacMan is moving, his mouth opens and closes. * Facial expressions PacMan has no facial expressions in the game, he barely has a face. Voice elements. PacMan doesn’t speak in the game. The sound for the player in the game is a chomping sound which most people describe it as “waka waka”. * Proxemics (Do they get close to other characters or keep their distance? Do they touch or allow themselves to be touched? Where?) PacMan needs to keep his distance from ghost in the game, if he is touch by a ghost, he loses a life. However there are glowing pellets placed in the game which allows PacMan to become invulnerable to ghosts and the ability to eat them. * Clothing (style, colour, etc) PacMan does not wear any clothes sort of like Kirby. He is yellow.
