Orientation Date & Time: 2 Weeks Prior to the Start of Class Dates & Times: Every Tuesday Starting on June 2 thru June 30, 2015
Classroom : 4:00pm – 6:00pm Pool : 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Knowledge Development Materials: PADI Open Water Diver Manual, RDP Slates, PADI Open Water Diver Video (All supplied by Doc” s Scuba)
Course Contents: Complete five knowledge development segments, including quizzes and final exam. Complete Confined Water Dives 1-5. Meet watermanship requirements. Complete Open Water Dives 1-4 at Hearthstone Campground Lake George.
Watermanship Assessment: Student must complete a 10-minute swim/float and complete a 200 yard continuous surface swim.
Student Supplied Equipment: Mask, Snorkel, Fins, Neoprene Boots, Weight belt (Remainder of Equipment is provided by Doc’s Scuba for this course)
Investment: $450.00 Minimum Age: 15 years old (10-14 years old earn a Junior Open Water rating) Upon successful completion of this course, the PADI Open Water Diver certification is earned. Become a better all around diver under the direct supervision of your professional PADI instructors. This will allow you to continue your diving experience and education through many other PADI courses. All students are required to purchase their own personal dive gear (mask, fins, snorkel, boots, and weight belt. Cressi gear packages are available for our students for $180.00 thru DiveMaster Services in Kingston NY.
Course fee includes: all rental equipment (7mm wet suit, hood, gloves, regulator, bcd, weights, & air tanks) needed for the pool & lake session’s, PADI academic materials and necessary filing fees.
Students are urged to bring drinks for the time between classroom and pool sessions, as well as drinks, snacks and lunch for when we are at the lake.
During the pool and open water sessions, each student is responsible for their rental gear. Doc’s Scuba will collect all the rental gear at the end of each pool session and students will bring their weights home. At the completion of the final dives, each student will sign off on the return of their equipment. Students will receive confirmation of their certifications within 24 hrs and receive your certification cards by mail, usually within 7-10 working days from PADI along with a survey form about the course and instructors.
