On Saturday, January 11, four Rocky students generously volunteered at the Odyssey of the Mind Spontaneous and Skill Building Work-shop. These students make up Rocky’s own Odyssey of the Mind team whose total membership includes Breanna Corbin, Libby Ingham, Jalie Marsh, Brady Bhalla, Tim Roberts, Ryan Kimbell, Ryan Owen, and coach Shane Corbin. The team had participated in this workshop for a number of years prior and decided it was time to give back to their com-munity. The students helped facilitate sessions on spontaneous prob-lem solving for 19 teams of elementary, middle and high school stu-dents. These sessions are designed to teach confidence, public speak-ing, humor, and creative thinking. Rocky Mountain High School takes pride in these students as they are exemplary models of generosity and creative problem solving. What a wonderful group of kids! Mark your calen-dars! Your Rocky team will compete in the Poudre River Regional Tourna-ment on March 7, 2020 at Boltz Mid-dle School. Come show your school spirit.

AP EXAM SIGN UP INFORMATION
Students will need to use 2 websites to sign up for exams this year.
The first website is: http://myap.collegeboard.org/dashboard
This is the site they will need to input their “join code” which they will get from their teacher. When they first “join” the
class through their MyAP account (same as their College Board account in terms of sign in info) it will show they are
“undecided” for the AP exam. They will need to choose to take the AP exam there. The information they add when they
sign up for exams on this site is VERY important, as it will be pre-bubbled on their answer sheets. Make sure all questions
are answered correctly and accurately so it doesn’t cause any scoring issues when they take the exam.
The second website is: https://user.totalregistration.net/AP/060588
Total Registration. This is the site we used in previous years. This year, it is solely for payment purposes.
This part will not take near as long to complete as it did in years past, as most of the info is taken by the first part of the
sign up process. As in years past, students/parent will be able to pay with a credit card online.
Fees and deadlines (these dates are different than years past):
If you were in a Semester 1 AP Class
$0 if on free and reduced lunch status (but students will still need to go through both steps above
including the payment website)
$138 if a first semester student signs up between 11/12 and 3/2
If you are in a Semester 2 AP Class
$98 per exam if you sign up between 10/1 and 3/2
$0 if on free and reduced lunch status (but students will still need to go through both steps above
including the payment website)
No registrations are accepted after 3/2/2020.
If you were a semester 1 student, there is a $40 fee if you cancel your exam after 11/11.
Info about AP exams can be found here: https://apstudents.collegeboard.org/about-ap-exams
We highly encourage all students enrolled in AP courses to take the exam, even if you are opting for college credit. The
test taking skills students learn in AP testing will align with the skills needed at the college level for examinations.
Rocky Mountain High School offers an Advanced Placement Endorsed Diploma to recognize and celebrate the academic
achievements of Advanced Placement Scholars. To be eligible, students must complete at least five Advanced Placement
courses. The courses must be completed within three distinct academic disciplinary areas with a grade of B or higher, and
they must take the national examination for each course. Academic disciplines include: The Arts, English, Mathematics,
Science, Social Science, and World Languages. Students do not have to meet an overall grade point average to be eligible
for this diploma endorsement nor is there a requirement on the score they receive on the exam.
If you have any questions with the process, please see Mr. Bruell in the main office, email
at [email protected] or call 488-7007
