FRIDAYS FOR FUTURE Inspired by Swedish 16 year old activist, Greta Thunberg, OCS students hold protests on Fridays each month to show their passion for environmental action now. The leadership elective class has taken the lead by encouraging students to attend, creating handmade signs, and leading chants during the rallies. Students are assembled at the base of our driveway at the WC campus along 91st so they’ve received lots of recognition and support from folks driving by. We encourage you to support them too by joining the protests with a sign or cheer, and by doing all you can in your family’s life to reduce negative impacts on our Earth. The leadership environmental action group is also looking for parent volunteers to help with recycling at the WC campus. Please email [email protected] if you are interested in helping. PARENT- TEACHER CONFERENCES: NOV. 18-22: MINIMUM DAY SCHEDULE Be sure to sign up for your fall parent-teacher conference during the week of Nov. 18th-22th. Teachers look forward to celebrating your child’s growth and any challenges your child may be experiencing with you during this time. Prioritizing the opportunity to sit individually with your child’s teacher is one of the many proactive ways parents support their children. We thank you in advance for your engagement.
