Introduction

Thank you for downloading this sample of The Best Christmas Pageant

Ever Book Unit. What a terrific book this is for the Christmas season!!

One thing I truly love about this book is that it can be used with children

from a wide variety of grade levels. The third graders at our school read

this book every year. I have used it with fourth, fifth, and sixth graders.

All enjoyed the book and found the humor wonderful. I hope your class

enjoys the book as well.

This unit contains vocabulary practice, comprehension quizzes, and

constructive response questions. You will also find a number of skill

pages. Because it is the holiday season, I tried to make the skill

activities more game like. For example, the character and descriptions

activity forms a Christmas tree when the students match the answers

correctly. I have also included a few snack and craft ideas to make the

book fun. At the end of the packet, you will find the password

information for the interactive quizzes online. My students actually ask if

they will “get” to take a test after reading. You can’t beat that!

I really appreciate the wonderful e-mails I have received regarding the

book units I have created. I used many of your suggestions in creating

this unit.

I would love to hear how this unit works in your classroom. Any

suggestions for improvement are most welcome. Please e-mail me at

[email protected]. If you are happy with the unit, I would

love for you to return to Teachers Pay Teachers and leave feedback.

Again thank you for your purchase.

know his ABC’s or his numbers or his colors or his shapes or his “Three Bears” or how to

get along with anybody. But Miss Brandel passed him anyway. For one thing, she knew

she’d have Ollie Herdman the next year.

Clue 3 – So the Herdmans pretty much looked after themselves. Ralph looked after

Imogene, and Imogene looked after Leroy, and Leroy looked after Claude and so on
