PIM definition
PIM is a software product category and enterprise initiative for collecting, authoring, rationalizing, and publishing or syndicating product information across multiple internal systems and exposing it externally.
PIM includes tools for managing workflows, user permissions, and other controls to direct processes related to the product information.
PIM typically takes product information from multiple internal systems and augments it with additional marketing and branding attributes that other enterprise applications like ERP systems don’t capture.

Estrix has done a quick, fast and professional implementation at Bauwerk. Today we have reduced the lead times significant when publishing our product on the web. The system is user
friendly which makes the organisation quick to adopt and work with the system. The lead time for publishing is much faster now
and we are also sure that the information is correct which is a big benefit.

What does this mean?
PIM suite is an integrated part of your IT infrastructure
Integration between ERP, CRM and Exchange server is needed, to ensure future growth with the IT strategy
Solutions are generated modular, meaning that the PIM suite has an easy connection to all systems:
– Web and e-com
– Catalogue production (via inDesign)
– PDF generating solutions (PDF lib, Pagemaker, etc)
– Emailing services via CRM or Exchange, via for example PDF templates
Export and import (XML, XLS, etc)
In one sentense:PIM possibilites depends on the integration within the IT infrastructure and the needs of the organization. Each connection can be a modular system with their own input and output!
