Zephaniah 3:14–18A The threat of punishment goes on to a vision of salvation. The new people of God will be a humble people, whom the Lord will shepherd, gathering them in the fold. The Lord rejoices over his people, renews them in his love, and protects them. Philippians 4:4–7 Joy is at the center of this message. It is not joyful for you, but it makes others happy by your own kindness. The desire for God’s peace is a characteristic that can be seen in all the letters from Paul. This profound peace will be the one to liberate the Philippians from all anxiety. Luke 3:10–18 John urges toward repentance all those who will listen, to equality in sharing, to desire nothing more than to fulfill their duty well. This will be what truly prepares the road for the Lord.

While a major part of preventing sexual abuse and exploitation is aimed at keeping young children safe, the focus and goal of the “Protecting God’s Children” program is to keep all people safe, including adults. By knowing the warning signs of different types of abuse and taking action to shut down abuse and offer protection and support, we can help the most vulnerable among us, whoever they may be. Everyone is welcome to remember your beloved deceased members of your family and friends at Christmas by bringing a Poinsettia Plant to help adorn the altar for Christmas.

Just pick one up at your favorite store, affix the name of your beloved deceased to it, and bring it to Church any time from until M , D 24th. You can place them on the SIDE altars, and the environment committee will arrange them in the sanctuary. Please bring them freshly watered so that they last through the Christmas season.

Each little paper adorning our Christmas Tree represents a child who needs a gift this Christmas. Please consider

favorita, ponga el nombre de sus ser querido difunto en la base, y la trae al templo, ubicándola en unos de los altares de los lados. Puede traerla hasta el Lunes 24 de Diciembre. Las personas encargadas de la decoración del templo las ubicarán en el santuario principal. Por favor debe traer su maceta con suficiente agua para que se mantenga viva durante toda la temporada navideña.

Las lecturas y su mensaje Sofonías 3:14–18A De la amenaza del castigo se pasa a una visión de salvación. El nuevo pueblo de Dios será uno humilde al cual el Señor pastoreará como buen pastor, reuniendo de nuevo al redil. El Señor se regocija con su pueblo, lo renueva en su amor y lo protege. Filipenses 4:4–7 La alegría está en el centro de este mensaje. No es una alegría para uno mismo, sino que hace felices a los demás con la propia bondad. El deseo de la paz de Dios es una característica de todas las cartas de Pablo. Esta paz profunda será la que libre a los filipenses de toda ansiedad. Lucas 3:10–18 Juan urge a quienes le escuchan al arrepentimiento, a la igualdad del compartir, a no ambicionar más que cumplir bien el deber. Esto será lo que verdaderamente prepare el camino al Señor.
