Starting Tuesday May 28, and continuing for approximately three weeks, a survey team from the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will start surveying along K-9 High-way in Norton County.
The survey work will take place 0.5-mile east of the K-9-/K-173 junction (Densmore). Specifically, the survey will fo-cus on the bridge located over Big Timber Creek.
The survey is necessary for the detailed design of the pro-posed improvement of the Big Timber Creek Bridge.
Survey activities will include the use of survey instruments on the ground to determine loca-tions of existing features within the survey corridor. When it be-comes necessary for crew mem-bers to enter private property, they will first obtain permission from the landowner or tenant.
Michael Selley, L.S., party chief with KDOT, will be in charge of this survey. For more information regarding the land survey, please contact Northwest Kansas Public Affairs Manager Kristen Brands at (785) 877-3315 or <mailto:[email protected]>[email protected]; or visit our
