Telsmith’s T400 Offers SafeHigh Crushing Performance

Telsmith Inc., manufacturer of mineralprocessing equipment, marketed the T400portable cone crusher plant at the 2019AGG1 Expo in Indianapolis, Ind.

Ideal for producers and contractors inmining, aggregates, crushed stone produc-tion and recycling applications, the T400portable cone crusher plant offers quick, safemaintenance access, consistent crushing andeasy mobility as the result of direct customerfeedback.

The T400 cone is part of the T-Seriescone crushers line by Telsmith that offerslarge clearing circuits that are designed tosafely and quickly allow uncrushable mate-rials to pass, avoiding costly damage andassociated downtime for repairs. The anti-spin feature prevents head spin to helpextend manganese service life. Like otherkey components, it’s mounted on top of themachine for safe, top-service access.

In addition, the anti-spinoperates with pressure lubri-cation oil, eliminating theneed for a gearbox, separatehydraulic circuit and associ-ated maintenance. The use ofa single bowl for all linersover its life of operationhelps reduce downtime andinventory costs while allow-ing optimum versatility,flexibility and efficiency inportable crushing applica-tions.

Furthermore, TelsmithInc. hybrid bearing technolo-gy within T-Series cone crushers providesthe ability to crush at lower horsepower fromimproved lift that helps carry the crushingforces, when compared to roller bearingmachines, according to the manufacturer.Engineered to hold up to tough, abrasiveaggregate and mining processes, the T-Seriescones with hybrid bearings deliver testedproductivity, safety and ease of maintenancewith maximum uptime.

Another safety feature that comes stan-dard is the diamond plate walkways aroundcrusher, 4-in. toeboards, 42-in. handrails andaccess ladder for safe ingress and egress.

The T400 cone crusher performance sup-plies 400 hp, a 12-in. maximum feed sizeand throughput capacities ranging from 138up to 594 mtph allowing for consistentcrushing and sizing of materials.

The portable plant is available in a simpleopen circuit plant or a more intricate closed-circuit plant with a screen and conveyorsonboard, which allows for secondary andtertiary crushing stages.

Startup is made simple allowing for oper-

ations to begin the crusher within hours. Toachieve this, Telsmith designed three simpleuser-friendly control panels, soft start, motorstart and off-plant. The soft start UL certifiedNEMA4 panel consists of a main circuitbreaker for the crusher motor soft start. TheMotor Starter UL certified NEMA4 panelprovides a main circuit breaker, motorstarters for plant motors and four extra 20 hpmotor starters for off-plant conveyors. Theoff-plant panel support stand provides cordgrips and 50 ft. wiring from starter panels toon-plant junction box.

Telsmith’s TRAC10 automation featurecomes standard on all portable plants.

TRAC10 monitors crusher operations,provides automated calibration and settingcontrols, and protects the crusher from over-load; all to yield greater crushing perform-ance and efficiency. Operators can initiate anautomated calibration process via the touch

screen monitor, that automatically “zero’s-out” and resets to the proper setting.Operators also can modify the crusher set-ting at any time, even while crushing.

Telsmith engineered and manufacturedchassis provide ease of mobility and strengthto handle the vibrations of many crushingapplications. The T400 portable chassisoffers 24 in. by 68 in. WF main beams, fifthwheel plate, equipment supports and crib-bing legs that are easily adjusted for quicksetup and mobilization.

Telsmith offers chassis compliant with all50 states on-highway regulations. The T400standard chassis includes triple axles andhighway towing kit with 25,000 lb. axles, airbrakes, walking beam axle support, (12)11R22.5 tires, mud flaps and lights withreflectors. Total transport weight and dimen-sions for the standard configuration are100,000 lbs. and 50 ft. 9 in. L x 11 ft. 11 in.W by 13 ft. 6 in. H.
