A MESSAGE FROM OUR BOARD CHAIR

As I reflect on my time as a volunteer at United Way, as a member of the Board, and now Board Chair, I continue to be humbled by the spirit of our community. Each day

members of our community reach out for a hand and find the generosity of the people around them offering to lend a hand.

It is this generosity and the willingness of our community to make a difference that has enabled our United Way to reach the 2011 goal of $3.25 million. Our local United Way raised $50,530 more than the previous year, even with fewer individual donors. We are also fortunate to have so many community members who dedicate their time to serving others. In 2011, Our United Way mobilized 3,664 volunteers who gave 30,600 hours of their time.
