Congratulations to the

South Holland Public Library Youth Services Department for being chosen as a Science Minors Club site by the Muse-um of Science and Industry of Chicago This is a four-year commitment which allows the Youth Services Department to receive training and materials for STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) programs which will be presented at the Library This association with MSI is sure to en-hance our STEM programming and help us continue to provide quality new programs for our patrons

Auto Repair Reference Center - A Database for YOU In a tight economy ldquodo-it-yourselfrdquo is often an economic necessity The South Holland Library subscribes to the Auto Repair Reference Center to provide assistance and advice for maintaining your vehicle The information is created by ASE certified technicians and includes step-by-step instructions for numerous repairs wiring diagrams maintenance advice diagnostic help and much more If how a car works is more mysterious than anything Agatha Christie ever wrote look at ldquoAuto IQrdquo for basic explanations of how your carrsquos systems work This database is available to anyone within the building and may be accessed remotely by anyone with a valid South Holland Library card

Thirteen contestants fifteen rounds and two winners made the Senior Spelling Bee an ldquoAWESOMErdquo event Our 1st place winner Mr Fred Boland proved to be the ultimate speller but our 2nd place winner Mr

Donald McClellan gave him a run for his money They will now move on to the Regional competition to be held on Monday June 3rd at Maine Township in Park Ridge IL The competition will begin at 1030 am South Holland Library would like to thank our Judges Chestine Allen and James Glover and our Pronouncer Doyle Landry for generously volunteering your time and wit
