Coronado CRYLI COTE™ 100% Acrylic Flat House & Trim 10 LineDescription: provide a durable and protective finish on any properly prepared and primed exterior surface.Where To Use: Wood, Hardboard, Masonry, Metal, Galvanized.Application: Stir product with a circular, lifting motion before you begin to paint. Acrylic Latex Flat House Paint may be applied by brush, spray, pad or roller, at a rate of application not to exceed 400 square feet per gallon. Surface texture and porosity will affect actual yield. For best brush application results, use a quality synthetic filament brush. For roller application, use a 3/8” or ½” nap cover for smooth surfaces, a ¾” nap cover for semi-rough surfaces and a 1” or 1 ½” nap cover for rough surfaces. For spray application, thin with clean water, up to 20% reduction if necessary. Do not apply when surface or air temperatures are below 50º F. Do not apply to hot surfaces or in direct sunlight. A typical paint application will last much longer after an application of OSPHO because subsequent paint coatings attach themselves so tightly that moisture and oxygen cannot attack the metal. OSPHO is water-thin, and therefore goes on easily and covers a larger area than paint. One gallon covers approx. 600 square feet. Historically, best results have been achieved using an oil-base primer and topcoat. Test a trial sample before using under epoxy or latex-base paint applications. OSPHO is equally effective for exterior and interior work alike and is highly recommended as a pre-treatment coating by leading paint manufacturers. For best results, use OSPHO at temperatures no lower than 36 degrees F. Excessive dew and humidity may prolong drying time and cause powdery buildup. Spray equipment should be flushed out with water after using. Clean brushes with water. Avoid getting OSPHO on adjacent areas such as painted surfaces, concrete, masonry and stonework. If splashing occurs, flush immediately with water to remove.

RUSTED METALS - OSPHO is a rust-inhibiting coating - NOT A PAINT You do not have to remove tight rust. Merely remove loose paint and rust scale, dirt, oil, grease and other accumulations with a wire brush - apply a coat of OSPHO as it comes in the container - let dry overnight, then apply whatever paint system you desire. When applied to rusted surfaces, OSPHO causes iron oxide (rust) to chemically change to iron phosphate - an inert, hard substance that turns the metal black. Where rust is exceedingly heavy, two coats of OSPHO may be necessary to thoroughly penetrate and blacken the surface to be painted. A dry, powdery, grayish-white surface usually develops; this is normal - brush off any loose powder before paint application. NEW METALS - For new ferrous or aluminum metals: remove dirt, grease, or oil; apply OSPHO, let dry overnight, then paint. GALVANIZED - where appearance is important, apply one coat of OSPHO, let stand for approximately thirty minutes or until metal is etched. A typical paint application will last much longer after an application of OSPHO because subsequent paint coatings attach themselves so tightly that moisture and oxygen cannot attack the metal. OSPHO is water-thin, and therefore goes on easily and covers a larger area than paint. One gallon covers approx. 600 square feet. Historically, best results have been achieved using an oil-base primer and topcoat. Test a trial sample before using under epoxy or latex-base paint applications. OSPHO is equally effective for exterior and interior work alike and is highly recommended as a pre-treatment coating by leading paint manufacturers. For best results, use OSPHO at temperatures no lower than 36 degrees F. Excessive dew and humidity may prolong drying time and cause powdery buildup. Spray equipment should be flushed out with water after using. Clean brushes with water. Avoid getting OSPHO on adjacent areas such as painted surfaces, concrete, masonry and stonework. If splashing occurs, flush immediately with water to remove.

RUSTED METALS - OSPHO is a rust-inhibiting coating - NOT A PAINT You do not have to remove tight rust. Merely remove loose paint and rust scale, dirt, oil, grease and other accumulations with a wire brush - apply a coat of OSPHO as it comes in the container - let dry overnight, then apply whatever paint system you desire. When applied to rusted surfaces, OSPHO causes iron oxide (rust) to chemically change to iron phosphate - an inert, hard substance that turns the metal black. Where rust is exceedingly heavy, two coats of OSPHO may be necessary to thoroughly penetrate and blacken the surface to be painted. A dry, powdery, grayish-white surface usually develops; this is normal - brush off any loose powder before paint application. NEW METALS - For new ferrous or aluminum metals: remove dirt, grease, or oil; apply OSPHO, let dry overnight, then paint. GALVANIZED - where appearance is important, apply one coat of OSPHO, let stand for approximately thirty minutes or until metal is etched. Multi-Strip is a unique, environmentally friendly safe paint remover designed to remove up to 15 layers of paint and varnish. Mask any areas not being stripped with plastic and masking tape. Apply a light coat of paint stripper (approximately 5 - 10 mils) to the surface. Wait 2 - 6 hours. If the surface starts to pull away, the top layers have lifted from the surface and can be easily removed with a scraper or knocked off the surface with a broom or other device. The paint remover has penetrated through these layers and begins to soften the remaining layers. While the undercoats are still soft, apply another coat of stripper at approx. 1/32" thick (20-25 mils) to the surface. The patch then should be checked for dwell time as follows (only a portion at any one time): Check the patch first at 2 - 4 hours, then periodically thereafter. As a rule of thumb, the greater the layers of paint, the longer the product should be left on. The stripper will usually remove 8 -12 layers of paint in 24 hours. More layers of paint (20+) or chemically resistant coatings may take longer (2 - 3+ days). This procedure usually applies to stripping ceilings as well.
