PREPARATIONWipe wood with soft lint free rag. Sand lightly with 400 grit sand paper. Wipe off dust.

Basecoat with Multi Purpose Sealer, Dry. Sand again and wipe off all dust.

PAINTING INSTRUCTIONSTrace design with tracing paper. Then lay graphite pa-per beneath tracing paper. Use your stylus to transfer just the main design.

Spray the inside of the front of the Paint Carrier with matte spray where the bottles of paint sit and let dry. Then basecoat the remainder of the Paint Car-rier Lamp Black. Let dry. Sand again lightly and wipe clean. Paint with a second coat.

BACK OF CARRIERTransfer the design of the paint palette on the back of the paint rack carrier. Basecoat the paint palette Light Buttermilk. Shade the side of the palette with Burnt Sienna. Basecoat the thumb hole on the palette with Lamp Black, and then dry brush a highlight with Snow White. Paint the puddles on the carrier as follows:

RED PUDDLEBasecoat True Red, shade Alizarin Crimson, and high-light Neon Pink. Float beneath with Burnt Sienna.

PURPLE PUDDLEBasecoat Dioxazine Purple, shade Black, and highlight with a dry brush of Turquoise Blue. Float beneath with Burnt Sienna.

BLUE PUDDLEBasecoat True Blue, shade Dioxazine Purple, and highlight with a mix of True Blue and Snow White. Float beneath with Burnt Sienna.

DARK GREEN PUDDLEBasecoat Plantation Pine, shade Black Green, and highlight Turquoise Blue followed by Snow White. Float beneath with Burnt Sienna.

LIGHT GREEN PUDDLEBasecoat Hauser Light Green, shade Plantation Pine, and highlight with a mix of Snow White and Hauser Light Green. Float beneath with Burnt Sienna.

BLUE PUDDLEBasecoat Dark Blue, shade Dioxazine Purple, and hightlight True Blue and Snow White. Float beneath with Burnt Sienna.

YELLOW PUDDLEBasecoat Cadmium Yellow, shade Burnt Sienna, and highlight Snow White. Float beneath with Burnt Sienna.

ORANGE PUDDLEBasecoat Pumpkin, shade True Red, and highlight Torrid Orange. Float beneath with Burnt Sienna.

CARRIER SIDES (paint brushes)

BRUSH HAIRSBasecoat the brush hairs Snow White and then shade French Grey Blue.

METAL SECTION OF HANDLEBasecoat the metal part with a mix of Snow White and Lamp Black to make grey. Shade Lamp Black and high-light Snow White.

MAIN HANDLEBasecoat the handle True Red, shade Napa Red, and high-light Pink Explosion. Dry brush a highlight Snow White.

LETTERING ON HANDLEUse a White fi ne tip permanent marking pen to write the letters on the brushes.

CARRIER FRAMETransfer the designs alongthe sides of the frame or free hand. Paint the designs using the colors on your palette.

NOTE: the artist Theresa has

pattern carefree and doodle-like.

You are encouraged to do so as

well. Keep your painting loose,

express your creativity, and just

have fun with it!

TOP OF CARRIERTransfer the words and paint with Snow White and a 10/0 Liner or use a fi ne tip white pen marker.

FINISHINGVarnish with two coats of Dura Clear Satin Varnish.
