H.E. Engineer Zafar Iqbal Jhagra Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took oath as Chief Scout KP in a ceremony held at Governor House Peshawar on 10 February, 2017. Ms Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, Chief Commissioner PBSA administered the oath. The Certificate of Appointment duly
signed by the President and Chief Scout Pakistan was also presented to the honourable Governor. Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani congratulated the Governor on his appointment and hoped that scouting in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will grow and flourish in his patronage.

On 16th February Chief Commissioner, PBSA Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani met with Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab and presented him scout neckerchief to involve him as Friend of Scouting to inspire young people. BSA accompanied Chief Commissioner. Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan, Education Minister Punjab, Mr. Shamail Ahmed Khwaja, Additional Chief Secretary Punjab / Provincial Commissioner, Punjab BSA and Secretary Education were also present in the Meeting. Ways & means to promote scouting were discussed and action were proposed for Better Programme for Youth.

Chief Commissioner highlighted the progress and importance of Scouting in the prevailing environment. She was warmly welcomed by Rana Iqbal Khan, Speaker Punjab Assembly, Colonel (Retd) Mubashir Javaid, Lord Mayer Lahore, Mr. Shamail Ahmed Khawaja, Additional Chief Secretary Punjab, Dr. Saeed Elahi, Chairman Red Crescent Society, Vice Chancellors of several universities. Council of Pakistan Boy Scouts Association was held on 7 February, th
2017 at National Headquarters, PBSA
Islamabad. The meeting was chaired by Ms.
Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, Chief
Commissioner PBSA / Speaker Provincial
Assembly Balochistan. In her opening
remarks to the Council, she desired to
strengthen the system and create an atmosphere of a cooperative team. She praised all the Provincial Commissioners,
Provincial Secretaries and Senior Scout officials for their support in the promotion
of scouting.
The Council discussed and approved the recommendations of National Executive Committee of PBSA. The Council also
approved the Annual Budget of PBSA for the year 2016-17, adopted the audited accounts of PBSA for the year 2015-2016.
Besides this the Council also approved Revised Service Rules of PBSA, Revised Service Rules of Pakistan Scouts Cadet
College, Bye Laws of AJK, GB and PIA BSA. The Council formed an Event Committee
to organize the Rover Moot 2017 in a b ef i tt ing man ne r wh ich wi l l be
responsible to chalk out all the details and
program of the Rover Moot.

Scout Centre of Pakistan Boy Scouts Association has been inaugurated by Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, Chief Commissioner, PBSA & Speaker Provincial Assembly Balochistan. The renovation and up gradation of the structure of the building was financially supported by US Fund for International Scouting (USFIS). Mr. Tom Montgomery, Foreign Service Officer of USA also accompanied and witnessed the Ceremony / Scout Centre.
Members of National Council, PBSA also attended the Ceremony.
The building will be used for Better World Resource Centre, Museum, Library and Scout Hostel.
Senior Scout Leaders Mian Naeem Zahur and Qazi Zahoor ul Hassan congratulated the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association for this achievement.

Immediately after the Bomb Blast at Lahore, Scout from Lahore started social services at the spot and in the hospitals. To boost up the morale of Scouts and e n c o u r a g e t h e v i c t i m s , C h i e f Commissioner, PBSA visited Ganga Ram
Hospital at Lahore and presented Bouquet to each of the injured people. She also visited martyr DIG Mr. Ahmad Mobin for condolence. She offered Fateha and prayed for the rest of the family members.

22nd February is observed all over the world to pay homage to the great humanist Lord Stephenson Smith Baden Powell for launching the scouting movement and providing a platform to the Every year, youth to serve the humanity regardless to blood, race and creed. 10 Scout Branch Associations of Pakistan Boy Scouts Association celebrated Founder’s Day with zeal and zest in their Provinces.
A graceful Ceremony was also organized at National Headquarters, PBSA.
Mr. Abdul Qahar Wadan, Chairman Standing Committee of National Assembly was the Chief Guest of the Ceremony.
During the Ceremony booklets of the message of Qauid’s & Mr. Mamnoon Hussain, President & Chief Scout of Pakistan were distributed among the Scouts and Scout Leaders. The message of H.E. Mr. Mamnoon Hussain, the President / Chief Scout of

National youth Council, organizing 9 th
National Rover Moot, renewal of the
honourable charge of LTs/ALTs, refresher
courses for the members of National
Training Team and acquiring the services
of members of National Training Team by
the Director Training and Program.

the criteria for the selection of different

PRESIDENT'S GOLD MEDALISTS' GATHERING
Gathering of President's Gold Medalists of
Pakistan Boy Scouts Association was held
first time at Islamabad. 55 Gold Medalists
of all the three sections of scouting (1982
to 2016) attended the Gathering to form
an appropriate forum of Gold Medalists
named Gold Circle.
Javed Ahmed Mian the first Gold
Medalists and the Gold Medalists of 2016
also participated in the Gathering. The
event was witnessed by the former
International Commissioner PBSA, Mr.
Ghazanfar Mashkoor and other senior
scout officials. The participants expressed their gratitude
for scouting which helped them to
become a successful person in the life.
They said that scouting has built
confidence among them and has enabled
them to meet all the challenges which
they faced in their practical life. They
stressed the need of more scouting
activities and offered their services for the
promotion of the same. The Gold
Medalists form a committee from among
them to chalk out future plans and

hiker Mr. Muhammad Roman from Punjab BSA expressed their views & observations about the hike. Mr. Noraiz Tariq presented his report about the hike. The Chief Guest and other scout dignitaries were presented hike souvenirs. The hikers received their hike certificates and shields from the Chief Guest.In his closing remarks the Chief Guest Mr. Abdul Qahar Wadan appreciated the efforts of Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, Chief Commissioner PBSA / Speaker Provincial Assembly Blochistan for uplifting the image of scouting in the country and assured his full support for the promotion of scouting.
