DAY 1 – ARRIVAL - DPALERMO, GRAND HOTEL VILLA IGIEA

• Arrive to the airport “Falcone e Borsellino” in Palermo. A tour guide will greet arriving travelers shortly before the group transfer to the hotel which will be provided at approximately 12 noon.

• Settle in and have time to relax before a welcoming Sicilian dinner. Get ready to enjoy Sicily region.

DAY 2 – PALERMO - B/DPALERMO, GRAND HOTEL VILLA IGIEA

• Enjoy an orientation drive to the Arab/Norman Cathedral, the Teatro Massimo and some local piazzas.

• Stop in the charming village of Monreale, home to an impressive Cathedral decorated with over 1.5 tons of gold mosaic.

• Have a special lunch with Sicilian food and wine this afternoon in the seaside resort town of Cefalu and enjoy some free time before heading back to Palermo.

DAY 3 – AGRIGENTO / CATANIA - B/DGIARDINI NAXOS, SANT ALPHIO GARDEN HOTEL

• Today travel by coach to the Taormina area making adventurous stops along the way.

• First, visit the ancient city of Akragas (Agrigento) a significant site of the Punic Wars. Nearby, a local expert will provide a guided tour of the Valley of Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire one of the most well-preserved temples, Concordia.

• One more stop in Catania, destroyed by volcanic lava seven times, the last being in 1666. Visit the birthplace of music composer Vincenzo Bellini and the Elephant Fountain.

• Continuing, arrive in Giardini Naxos, just south of the famous resort town of Taormina.

• Enjoy delicious Sicilian dinner this evening in the hotel.

DAY 4 – MT. ETNA/ZAFFERANA/ TAORMINA – B/L/DGIARDINI NAXOS, SANT ALPHIO GARDEN HOTEL

• After breakfast, experience Mt. Etna and walk on one of the oldest lava craters in the world at about 6000 feet high.

• Stop in the village of Zafferana to enjoy a true cultural immersion with a local and taste Sicilian specialties including arancini and fresh cannoli filled with ricotta or chocolate.

• This afternoon visit the famous resort town of Taormina with free time to visit shops.

• Tonight, enjoy a relaxing dinner in the hotel.

DAY 5 – TAORMINA – B/DGIARDINI NAXOS, SANT ALPHIO GARDEN HOTEL

• Have a day at leisure or choose to join an optional Godfather movie experience and on the way back to the hotel a hidden treasure awaits before another delicious dinner.

DAY 6 – REGGIO CALABRIA - B/DROCHELLA IONICA, HOTEL PARCO DEI PRINCIPI

• After breakfast, leave Sicily and enjoy a day in Calabria region.

• The first stop is to Reggio Calabria for a visit to the museum of ancient history. This museum boasts displays of the two most important sculptures in the world.

• This evening enjoy the beautiful hotel in the magnificent Roccella Ionica of the Calabria Region featuring a cooking show.

DAY 7 – COSENZA/MATERA - B/DALBEROBELLO, HOTEL SIERRA SILVANA

• After breakfast a drive by coach to the Puglia region.

• A local guide will show the amazing old city of Matera, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Highlights of this tour include visits to the places where The Passion of Christ and Ben Hur were both filmed.

• Following this amazing excursion, arrive at the hotel in the Puglia region.

• Tonight, a typical Apulian dinner will be served in the hotel.

DAY 8 – ALBEROBELLO - B/DALBEROBELLO, HOTEL SIERRA SILVANA

• After breakfast, set out to discover the fairy tale town of Alberobello.

• Prepare to see the Trulli, some of the most unique houses in the world.

• This afternoon, leisure time or an optional

trip visiting another beautiful hidden Apulian gem village.

• Tonight, feast on a tasty local dinner.

DAY 9 – PUGLIA REGION - B/DSORRENTO, VILLA GIOVANNA

• After a nice breakfast, drive westbound to the Campania region.

• Enjoy some free time in Sorrento and perhaps enjoy a local experience visiting a local farm for lunch and to see how mozzarella is made.

• Afterwards, have free time to relax, then end your day with another beautiful dinner in the hotel.

DAY 10 – CAPRI OR AMALFI DRIVE - B/DSORRENTO, VILLA GIOVANNA

• Today you choose between 2 experiences: » Choice 1 - Drive along the beautiful and romantic Amalfi Coast. Stop in Amalfi and Ravello to discover the history of this gorgeous region.

» Choice 2 - Visit the gorgeous island of Capri by ferry.

• Upon returning to Sorrento, enjoy a fabulous dinner and wine at Riccardo’s.

DAY 11 – SORRENTO/POMPEII - B/DROME, SHERATON ROMA HOTEL

• Today, we head north to the Eternal City of Rome.

• Stop in Pompeii for an in-depth visit of the open museums and excavations located on this incredible site.

• Tonight, we say goodbye with a Roman style Farewell dinner.

DAY 12 – DEPART ROME - B• After breakfast, transfer to Rome Airport

for departure.
