The Palestinian Museum of Natural History and Humankind was established in 1936 to inspire wonder, discovery and creation, which provoke curiosity and deepen understanding of our natural and cultural world.

Our goal at The Palestinian Museum of Natural History and Humankind is to inform, connect, fascinate, amaze, delight, surprise and excite your interest in the way the world works through the nature and culture of Palestine.

The growth and care of the collection, research and dissemination of knowledge through publications, exhibitions and educational projects, remains the cornerstone of the Museum’s mission today.

The Museum continues to grow and now has numerous sections. Here we have the recently created Storage Section, which houses many of the cultural artefacts from the Museum’s collection such as paintings and information material. Against standard museum protocol, the storage section is here accessible for the public, and offers an insight into how artworks are stored when not on display. Like all the other sections of The Palestinian Museum of Natural History and Humankind, Storage Section has a nomadic existence and will travel to numerous other partner institutions around the world.
