Mr. Ben Harris, Jr., son of the late Ben and Marie Corbitt Harris, was born on February 28, 1938 in Hoke County.
He attended School in Hoke County and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was a “jack of all trades”. He began to work at an early age. Later in life, he joined Christ Temple Apostolic Church. He was married to the love of his life, Mrs. Mary McDaniels Harris for more than 43 years.
He departed this life on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC.
Ben, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and dedicated wife, Mrs. Mary McDaniels Harris; four sons, Michael Harris of Winston-Salem, NC, Gerald and Jerry McDaniels of Cary, NC and Danyell Harris of the home; one daughter, Marion Harris Eason of Raleigh, NC; one sister-in-law, Louada Malloy of Raleigh, NC; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. All of his siblings including two sisters, Mary H. Jones and Flora H. Watson, and three brothers, James Daniel, James Willie and Fredwin L. Harris preceded him in death.
