Station, Soudan Downs Station, Avon Downs Station and

Lake Nash Station, Napangarti spent most of her childhood

growing up on these stations.

In the 1960’s they went and lived at Banka Banka Station,

while her parents were working and visiting family.

In mid-1960’s, they then moved back to Rockhampton

Downs Station. Her father also worked at the station, where

Napangarti met her extended family.

In 1968 Napangarti met her partner Sandy Nappa Jampin

from Arrawarrjin (Whistle Duck), and had one son who was

born at Rocky Downs, when Gordon was growing up his

father picked him and his mother up and took them to

Kurundi Station while he was working for Peter Saint.

Gordon grew up at Rocky Downs and Kurundi Station.

To my dearest Mother

I lost a mother with a heart of gold,

How much I miss her can never be told,

She shared our troubles, and helped me along,

If I follow her footsteps,

I will never go wrong.

I love you always; rest in peace my dear mother.

From your son Gordon Nappa.

To my loving Grandmother (Appu)

You gave me so many things in life,

Gifts both great and small,

But most of all you gave me love,

The greatest gift of all.

Love from your Grandson Michael Nappa.

To our Great Grandmother (Pirli Pirli)

No farewells were spoken,

No time to say goodbye,

You were gone before we knew,

And only God knows why.

From your Great Grandchildren (Pirli Pirli)

To our loving Grandmother

Who was most sincere and loved by all who knew,

She loved us all so very dear, and we all loved her too,

But God in his mercy will give us hope, and help us bear the

strain,

Of the one we cherished, loved and lost, to meet in Heaven

again.

To our loving Aunty

If flowers grew in Heaven,

Lord, then pick a bunch for me.

Then place them in my mother’s arms,

And tell her they are from me,

Tell her that we love and miss her,

And when she turns to smile,

Place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for a while.

From nieces and nephews,

We all love you and rest in peace.

In mid-1980 they lived at Whistle Duck and Kurundi Station.

In mid 90s to renal dialysis in Alice Springs and also lived

with her sister.

Napangarti moved back to Tennant Creek in 2000 for renal

treatment and family. Napangarti was happy when her first
