Celebrations & Activities Galore

Pallavi Model School, Bowenpally takes immense pride in sharing the great news

that our principal Mr.N.S. Srinivas was conferred the prestigious AVANTIKA

Dr. Abdul Kalam Award 2019 for his hard work and dedication in the field of

education.

Our heartiest congratulations Sir! May you keep inspiring us with your

incredible achievements.

Independence Day

The school had a festive and patriotic ambience celebrating 73rd

Independence Day. The programme commenced with Flag Hoisting

followed by investiture ceremony, songs, dances and a phenomenal skit.

Rakshabandhan - Event with RJ ( Potugadu) FM Radio.

Sensitizing children for patriotism and brotherhood by urging them to write

letters for the soldier brothers on border and carrying their letters with eco-

friendly rakhi to them, marked the event of Rakshabandhan.

Career Counselling session

A design professional, academician, motivator, an architect and Industrial

Designer from National Institute of Design, Ahemdabad Mr. Gaurav Sharma,

conducted a session for sr. secondary students and apprised them of myriad

avenues available in the field of Design.

Haritha Haram:-

PMS Bowenpally, had its third phase of Haritha Haram celebrations on 26th

Aug 19. The chief guest for the event, Traffic Inspector of the Trimulgherry

zone, Mr. Ravi Kumar graced the programme by encouraging the youth to plant

more trees and conserve nature. He also made the students aware of the

amendments in the traffic rules and the various fines levied on defaulters.

The students enthusiastically participated in making the school clean and

green.

National Sports Day/ Rashtriya Ekta Divas

National sports day is observed annually on 29th Aug every year in India.This

day not only marks the birthday of a legendry Hockey player Dhyan Chand but

also highlights the need for sports in overall development of a personality.

Commemorating the relevance of sports in a child’s life, sports quiz was

conducted among the four houses. Various rounds were conducted giving

exciting challenges to each team. Surpassing all the rounds with fervor and

wit, the following houses outlined the

scoreboard. The audience also thoroughly

enjoyed.

Swachh WOW Club:

Students of Sr.Block have eagerly participated in

the Inter School and Inter Class Recycling

Championship organized by the Swachh WOW Club. They contributed

recyclable waste products and in lieu received new stationary and an

appreciation certificate. This initiative would create a

significant impact on the environment and an awareness

in the students on the 3R’s of Waste Management.

IT Fest :

Students of grade X visited DPS Nacharam IT Fest and got the chance to see

various exhibits. They thoroughly enjoyed the fest and affirmed that learning

is maximized by doing.

FIT India Movement:

PMS,Bowenpally has enthusiastically joined hands for FIT India Movement

launched by PM Narendra Modi on the eve of National Sports Day.

The school has made arrangements for the live streaming of the launch

function.

Inter House Extempore Competition:

The Extempore competition was held for classes X, XI and XII on 13th Aug2019.

Inter School Events

Achievements:-

PMS Bowenpally, grade X students Amulya and Dhruva participated in science

fair conducted by CSIR-IICT, won Second prize out of 65 schools.The topic

of the science Fair was “ Modern Periodic Table”. They received a Momento,

Certificate and a Cash Award of Rs 1500/ each.

Riddhima Saraf, K.Tejlatha, Meghana of standard VIII won the Board prize in inter

school chess competition conducted by St. Peter`s Bowenpally.

Teekshana Saraf won second prize in St. Peter chess Fest.

In Aqua Fest conducted by Requelford, our students bagged the following prizes:

Pratyush J of grade X won third prize in Breaststroke.

Rishika Loya of grade X won third prize in freestyle.

Insiya, Tammana, Rishika and Anika of grade VIII won third prize in 4*25m relay.

G. Anjali Reddy of grade VIII won first prize in creative writing in English in Lingua Fiesta

(DPS Nacharam )

In Chess Tournament conducted by Sadhu Vaswani, our students won the following

prizes:

Abhiram Pramod of grade X won first prize.

Abhiram Nampally of grade VIII won third prize.

Nishant Thakker of grade IX won fourth prize.

Sourish Rao of grade VIII won fifth prize.

PMS Bowenpally Cricket Team won Independence Cricket Tournament U-14 Category

Trophy. Kartikeya of grade IX was awarded as the Best Batsman of the Tournament.

PMS Bowenpally, Volley Ball Team won III

place in SGF Hyderabad at LB Stadium.

Y,Siri Satyamurthy of grade IX won silver in U-17

girls in Hyderabad district SGF selections. She is

holding II position in Hyderabad team. She shall

be representing Hyderabad in the inter district

SGF selections to be held in Adilabad.

Olympiad:

Olympiad workbooks have been given to the students on 2nd Aug 2019.

Circulars :

Datesheet and Syllabus of Periodic Test 2 for grades VIII, IX ,X has

been uploaded on Melite app on 19th August 2019.

Datesheet and Syllabus of Quarterly Exam for grades XI and XII has

been uploaded on Melite app on 21st Aug 2019.

PTM :

Parent Teacher Meet was conducted on 31st Aug 19 to discuss the

progress of their ward and also to give needful information for the

upcoming Term End Exams.
