Single robot

- a compact one-man packing station.

The palletising robot picks up items from a feed-in conveyor andplaces them on the pallet with great precision.

Plug and playThe robot is quick and easy to install in an existing productionenvironment.It is tested before delivery using your products and pallet patterns.

New pallet pattern in 30 secondsIf the pallet pattern is already in the IPC, it takes no more than 30seconds to switch to another programme.New pallet patterns generated using optimisation software, suchas CAPEPACK®, can be transferred online or via diskette.

Safe to operate, simple and versatileThe machine requires minimal maintenance and is easy to access.It is equipped with safety fencing that meets CE requirements.

Greater pallet capacity - Impoved freight economyAll types of cases, even heavy and bulky ones, can be stacked atheights up to 2700 mm in order to fully utilise the capacity oflorries and containers.

Stainless steel for wet environmentsThe robot can be supplied entirely or partially in stainless steel.The robot has powder coated finish in RAL 2002 and RAL 9005colours as standard. Special colours are available for at asurcharge.

The palletising robot iscontrolled by an IPC-Controller,which is located in one of thepillars. When not in use, the IPCController can be slid into thepillar - securing the electronicsin the best possible way.

The palletising robot isextremely easy to operate andreconfigure for different palletpatterns. The software isWindows-based, and the IPCcan be used to control anyperipheral equipment, such aspallet conveyors, palletmagazines, etc.

Easy pallet positioning.Pallet guides ensure andfacilitate correct positioning ofthe pallet.

Compact design.The illustration shows a robotfor 800 x 1200 mm pallets.

Modular robot

The modular robot has two pallet positions that can be utilised inseveral ways.

No waiting time during pallet change.The modular robot can palletise the same product onto two pallets.When one pallet is full, the robot automatically starts to palletiseon the second pallet, allowing plenty of time to remove the first fullpallet and replace it with an empty pallet.

Product sortingThe modular robot can palletisetwo different products – one oneach pallet. The two differentproducts can arrive on thesame feed-in conveyor.Photocells or other sensor-equipment informs the robotwhat product is to be palletisedonto which pallet.

Double line operationThe modular robot can handletwo different products thatarrive at the robot on twoseparate feed-in conveyors -one from each production line.The robot takes each product toits own pallet.

Automatic layer sheetapplicationFinally the modular robot isuseful when layer sheets areused in the pallet load. Thelayer sheets are placed on oneof the pallet positions. Layerpads of different qualities andtypes are used. Full pallets withlayer pads can be placed directin the robot or stacks of layerspads can be placed in the layerpad magazine as analternative. When a layer sheetis required, the robotautomatically picks it up andplaces it on the pallet load.

AccessoriesVacuum, gripper, and lifting heads

As standard, the palletising robot is equipped with a compactvacuum head made as a "sandwich" construction where the airruns inside the plate. By relying on this principle, the use of fragiletubes and fittings is avoided, and the unique "sandwich"construction makes it easy and inexpensive to tailor vacuum headsfor individual requirements.In addition to the standard vacuum head, SOCO SYSTEM developsspecial gripper and lifting heads upon request to handle e.g. trays,crates, cans, etc.

Built-in safety switchesAll robot heads are fitted with built in safety switches to protectagainst overload of the x-, y-, z-axes and of the turn movement.

ServomotorsThe x-, y- and z-axes and the turn movement of the robot head aredriven by servomotors. The servomotors work with extremeaccuracy and have substantial lifting power even down to very lowspeeds.

AccessoriesFeed-in conveyor

The robot can be supplied with a driven feed-in conveyor. The feed-in conveyor enables accumulation and separation of the incomingitems.

According to international safety regulations, most palletisingrobots must be fitted with safety guarding or other safetymeasures. A tailor-made and integrated security fence programmeis available for the robot including standard fence, standard doors,manual and automatic sliding doors, safety light barriers, anddouble safety circuits for multiple pallet positions.

Pallet loader

Layer by layer.

The pallet loader can operate as a semi automatic unit, or it can beintegrated into a fully automatic palletising system.

More on the palletAll cases, including heavy and bulky ones, can easily be stacked toheights of 2500 mm in order to fully utilise the capacity of lorriesand containers.

Safe to operate, simple and versatileThe machine requires minimal maintenance and is easy to service.The machine is available with either left or right-hand operation.

Simple and safe operationThe software is simple and self-explanatory, and is operated usinga finger touch panel. When the stripper plate is filled, the operatorsteps onto a safety mat that deactivates the machine. The machineis supplied with safety screening.

Stainless steel for wet environmentsThe pallet loader and the rest of the product range are available ingalvanised or stainless steel.The machine can be ordered in special colours at a surcharge.

The ball table facilitatestransfer to the stripper plate(accessory).

On the stripper plate, theoperator forms the desiredpattern.

By a simple press of a button,the case layer is transferred tothe pallet.
