The holiest week of the year is upon us. I invite you and yours and I also strongly encourage you to come to as many of the special liturgies for Holy Week as you are able. If you have never been to one, or if it has been some years since you have, please come. They will help you to enter more fully into

the Paschal Mystery and the joy of Easter. Holy Thursday commemorates the institution of the Eucharist and the Priesthood with the washing of the feet. Good Friday we solemnly remember the Lord’s saving death for us. Holy Saturday the Great Vigil of Easter proclaims His glorious resurrection. There are no other opportunities to go to Confession prior to Easter. All during Lent we had Confessions three days per week but, now our celebrations of Penance are concluded. Confessions will resume on Saturday, May 4. I hope and pray that all of you will have a spiritually fruitful Holy Week culminating in a joyful Easter.
