Consignment Policies 1. The consignor receives 55% commission of the selling price and The Palm Tree receives 45%. 2. The consignment contract period is for four weeks. All Items must be reclaimed on or before the claim date on your contact. Please feel free to donate your unsold items. We will provide you with a donation receipt. 3. There is a yearly consignment fee of $25.00 which will be collected at the time of your consignment, if it is due. 4. Consignment appointments are limited to every other week. The consignor should arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time. 5. Items that do not sell within the consignment period and are reclaimed must remain out of the shop for six weeks before they may be re- consigned. 6. All checks will be mailed within two weeks of the claim date shown on your contract. 7. All drop-offs must have appointments. Items must be dropped off (hung on shop hangers) before the scheduled appointment. Only Monday appointments may be dropped off on Saturday. 8. All housewares must have a value of $7.50. 9. We do not take furniture that is too big to be easily transported. Please provide a photo. 10. Any items from a drop-off consignment that are rejected must be picked up within one week of notification. 11. Clothing must be in style, in season and in good condition. Clothing may not be older than three years. 12. All clothing must be clean, without stains, wrinkles, or pulls. 13. A maximum of 25 articles may be consigned on each consignment appointment, please limit clothing classifications to three (3) items of each type. 14. No clothing items valued at less than $6.50 are accepted for consignment. 15. All lamps must have shades that are the correct size. 16. No Christmas Holiday items will be accepted after December 1, 2015. There is a limit of three holiday items for consignment appointment with a value of $12.50. 17. You will receive a reminder call the day before your appointment. You will be informed of what items we are not taking or are limiting for the week. Items we do not take for consignment

1. Men’s & children’s clothing

2. Baby items

3. Maternity clothing

4. Lingerie, undergarments & bathing suits without tags

5. Dolls

6. Toys & games unless new

7. Electrical appliances unless they are new

8. Mattresses

9. Pillows or linens

10. Exercise equipment

11. Knives or weapons The Palm Tree assumes no responsibility for unlocated items or for any loss due to fire, theft or damage. Our policies and procedures are intended to serve our customers and consignors in good faith.

Consignment pick-up procedures 1. Present your contract to the

cashier at the front desk to check what has been sold.

2. Locate your items on the shop

floor.

3. Present your items and your contract to the volunteer at the front desk.

4. Items you cannot find may be

placed on search but no search will be made for items valued under $10.50.

5. The volunteer will remove your

tickets and assist you in packing.

6. The volunteer will generate a computer slip which should be signed by the consignor to complete the consignment pick-up process.

7. Please remove all items from the

store that have been cleared by the volunteer.

Pickup of unsold merchandise is not obligatory. Items sold after your pickup date benefit the hospital and can be a tax write-off for you. This donation will be greatly appreciated by The Palm Tree staff and Paoli Hospital.

Thank you!

Donations All donated items are gratefully accepted. Your donations do not have to be in season. Donation receipts are provided and should be completed when the donation is made. An authorized staff member will sign your receipt. Donated items that we do not sell in the store will be shared with local non-profit groups. The Palm tree partners with local organizations that provide shelter and clothing to women in need, as well as homeless men and women. This provides us with the rewarding opportunity to give back to the community.
