About Our PGY-3 Class

Charlotte Bibbee, MD – Charlotte is from Point Pleasant, WV (Home of the Mothman, if you’ve seen the movie). She completed her undergraduate and medical school training at West Virginia University. Let’s Go Mountaineers! She enjoys good food, traveling, hiking, yoga, shopping and hanging out with her residency family.

Caitie Coleman, MD – Caitie is a native Georgian but graduated from USC for both undergrad and medical school. In her free time she loves hanging out with her hubby Jarrett, daughter Lily, and dog Alice. Together they enjoy exploring Columbia and cheering for the Gamecocks!

Kimberly Curry, MD – Kimberly was born and raised in Columbia and decided to stick around for undergrad, med school, and residency. She lives in West Columbia with her husband, Bryan, and their bluetick hound, Biscuit. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, trying new restaurants, taking weekend trips to the beach, watching way too much television, and cheering on her Gamecocks. Go Cocks!

Melissa Eldridge, MD – Melissa grew up in Columbus, GA and attended the University of South Carolina for undergrad….GO Gamecocks!! She then ventured off to the big city of Chicago, IL, where she attended Chicago Medical School. It was an easy choice for her to return to Columbia for residency and she has loved every minute. She enjoys hanging with all of the residents (especially Cantina Weds), hot yoga, or watching college football!

Michael Mitchell, DO – Michael was born and raised in Longview, Texas. He never thought he would leave the Lone Star State, but after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, he went to Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem, New York! He loved his four years in New York, but decided to head South for residency. Since then, he has enjoyed learning pediatrics from USC's amazing faculty, hanging out with his fellow residents, running along the Columbia Canal, and experiencing the joys of home ownership.

Katie Mollo, DO – Katie was born and raised in Moorestown, a small town in Southern New Jersey. She attended Loyola College and spent a year studying abroad in Newcastle, England. After undergrad, she returned to South Jersey to study at the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. From there, she decided to take a new adventure to the land of garnet and black to join the Palmetto Health/USC SoM pediatric residency family, and is glad she did! In her free time, Katie enjoys spending time with her friends, exploring Columbia and trying new restaurants.

Duncan Norton, MD – I am a native South Carolinian from a small town called Dillon. I went to Wofford College for undergrad (Go Terriers!) then to MUSC for my graduate degree before finally going to medical school at USC. After discovering that the best Peds attendings and residents were located here in my own back yard, I made the best decision to stay in Columbia for at least 3 more years. I’m currently exploring the possibility of academics and/or hospitalist when I finish. I love to go on hikes with my wife, Mariel, and dog, Dixie. I also love reading and cheering on my Fighting Gamecocks! Really I just enjoy doing anything outdoors.

Her other hobbies include snowboarding, wakeboarding, dancing, Carolina football, and watching movies… Especially musicals!

Megan Tinnin, MD – Megan is from Warner Robins, Georgia and went to the University of Georgia for undergrad and Mercer University for medical school. Although she now lives in Gamecock territory, she is a Georgia Bulldog all the way! She loves the experience she has had so far at USC. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her favorite man, her German Shepherd, Maverick. She likes baking, spending time outdoors, tailgating at Georgia football games, and being with her friends and family.

Michael Tjahjadi, MD – (pronounced “Chai YAH dee”) was born in Snellville, Georgia, and graduated from The Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in biology. Straight from undergrad he entered the Medical College of Georgia for medical school. Michael enjoys all things music, namely singing and piano. This includes anything from being a part of a church praise and worship team, performing in talent shows and concerts, to writing and recording music in his home studio.

Amanda Vartanian, MD – Amanda was born in Brandon, Florida. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Wofford College which is in Spartanburg, SC. Her medical education came from the University of South Carolina. For fun, Amanda enjoys golf, reading, traveling, baking, family game nights, and movies.
