PanaCast® Whiteboard User Guide

PanaCast Whiteboard is an intelligent capability for the PanaCast 2 camera system. It automatically corrects the distortion of whiteboard and captures every detail on whiteboard. To implement PanaCast Whiteboard, you need (1) PanaCast 2 camera system (2) PanaCast Vision app (3) PanaCast Whiteboard software (4) Whiteboard indicator (optional), along with your whiteboard and Windows device.

Download and Installation

- Download PanaCast Vision. Use the link to download the PanaCast Vision app: go.panacast.com/panacastvisioninstaller.

- Install PanaCast Vision. Launch the PanaCastVisionInstaller.exe and install the application. Click Install and follow the onscreen instructions.

What is PanaCast Vision?

PanaCast Vision is a free application that enables local controls within the real-time video stream of PanaCast 2.


Note: You might get the Windows Security Alert message after installing PanaCast Vision. Please click Allow access for the application.

- Update PanaCast Vision. The application automatically checks for new updates. When a new version is available, click Update Now to immediately update. Otherwise, click Update Later to update the application at a later time.

How to use PanaCast Vision to control the camera

- Launch PanaCast Vision.


- Click PTZ Controls to control the video view. You can also use your mouse to adjust PTZ controls.

Note: click and hold the preset button for 3 seconds to set the position.

- Click Color Controls to change brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness, and white balance.


- Click Settings to change the PanaCast Vision settings.

Having trouble connecting the camera? You will see the image below if PanaCast Vision can’t access the camera. The PanaCast 2 camera can be used by one application at a time.

Here are some steps that can help you to fix it

1. Check the LEDs of PanaCast 2. It should be white when the camera is in use.

2. Check the video settings in the video conferencing application that you’re using. Make sure to select PanaCast Vision as your camera option instead of PanaCast.

3. Check if your PanaCast 2 is in use by another application. Make sure to close other video conferencing applications when you’re not using it.

How to get your PanaCast Whiteboard license

1. Start 30-day free trial

o Launch PanaCast Vision.

o Click Activate Later to start your free trial.

2. Purchase your annual license key

o Click Get Key or visit the PanaCast Whiteboard product page: go.panacast.com/whiteboard-license to purchase an annual license key. You will get an activation key after purchasing a license.

o Enter your license key to activate PanaCast Whiteboard.

o Click Activate Now to activate your PanaCast Whiteboard.


How to use PanaCast Whiteboard

- Launch PanaCast Vision.

- Click Whiteboard to launch PanaCast Whiteboard.

There are two ways that PanaCast Whiteboard can find your whiteboard

• Automatic Detection

Download the Whiteboard Indicator: go.panacast.com/whiteboard-indicator


• Manual Selection

You will see the PanaCast Whiteboard window pops up once the whiteboard detection/selection is successful.

Launch your video conferencing application and you will get the whiteboard view in the video conferencing application. There are two ways to share your whiteboard:

• Content Share Mode (default): a content share window of the whiteboard image. Use the screen share feature in the video conferencing application to share the whiteboard window.

• Camera Mode: a virtual whiteboard video stream as a virtual camera, streaming the PanaCast Whiteboard view through the PanaCast Vision camera. Use the streaming whiteboard image to replace your video.
