Therefore the Government is pleased to notify under sub--. -section (1) of Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894

(hereinafter referred to as the "said Act") that the said land is likely to be n~e4 f?r the purpose specified above.

A.. for const. of road to Kumbarwada in V. P .. Sirvoi, in .. Quepem. Taluka.

3. If the G<>va-nment is satisfied that, the said land is needed for the aforesaid purpose, a declaration to that effeCt under Section 6' of thesald Act will be published in the Official-Gazette, in due course. If the, acquisition is' abandoned

Wliellea;s by Government Notification No,· 22/101/82-RD daled 30-8-82 published on page 326 to 328 of Series II,No. 25 of the Official Gazette, dated 16-9·82. -it -was notified under­Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (heteiIiafter referred' to as "the said 'Act") that the land, specifled in the­schedule appended to the said Notification (hereinafter referred to as the "said land") ,was likely to be needed: for the .J}®¥C purpose viz. for construction of approach road to Orlim Bridge at Deusua, Salcete.

, Now, Therefore, the Government is pleased to declare under­the provisions of Section 6 of the said Act that the said ,land is required for the public purpose specified abo~e.

2. The Government is also pleased to appoint under claUse· (c) of Seotion 3 of the said Act, the Land Acquisition Officer. P.W.D.-Cell, Altinho, Panaji, to perf'onn the :functions of a Collector for all proceedings hereinafter to be taken in respect of the said land, and to direct him under Section 7 of the·

- said Act to take order for the acquisition o~ the said land. And "whereas the appropriate -Government. (hereinafter
