OUR
DIVISIONS
Quality Assurance Division
Our Memorandum of Association provides for the establishment of
Divisions for any distinct and important area of Chemistry with particular
importance to Cyprus.
On the basis of the aforementioned provision, the Quality Assurance
Division operates with significant action in its area of responsibility.
Quality Assurance Division Objectives
• Interaction between mebmers
• Activating new colleagues and stepping up their career paths
• The active and continuous presence in local and European actions
• The transfer of knowledge and experience
• The representation in Eurachem and other relevant European networks
Areas of interest
• Laboratory check
• Analytical laboratories
• Clinical laboratories
• Microbiological laboratories
• Forensic chemistry
• Metrology Quality Management /
Quality Systems in Industry (Food,
Drugs, etc.)
Participation in European networks
• Εurachem
• EuCheMS
• Eurolab
• The Pancyprian Union of Chemists publishes and disseminates
electronically to its members the electronic newsletter “ABOUT
CHEMISTRY".
• Each edition focuses mainly on a specific topic, while it also contains
short news, references to current topics, educational issues, news from
Europe etc.
• The publication is made by a small-scale editorial committee in which

INTERNATIONAL
ACTIVITY
In its international activities, PUC is a member of the European
Chemical Sciences (EuCheMS) and Eurachem.
A very close cooperation exists
between PUC and the Association of
Greek Chemists with which we co-
organize summits, workshops and
conferences including the Greece-
Cyprus Chemistry Conference which
the two countries host alternately.
PUC is also a member of the
International Union of Pure and
Applied Chemistry IUPAC
