RAIL FASTENING SYSTEM:

FASTCLIP FE RRThe PANDROL FASTCLIP FE RR system has been developed for extreme heavy haul applications suitable for up to 40 Tonnes axle load and curve radius down to 150 m. The PANDROL FASTCLIP system is a resilient, threadless rail fastening system with the unique PANDROL switch-on switch-off system that enables fast and efficient track installation resulting in lower installed and life cost benefits.

3. Nylon insulator with integrated abrasion plate and PU rail pad

Recessed rail seat and special 2 part combined moulded pad and insulator provides longer life rail fastening components and significantly extend the life of insulators in curved tracks compared to any other system. FE RR remains compatible with both manual and mechanised installation.

CAST SHOULDER ANCHORAGEThe FASTCLIP FE RR is designed for very high lateral loading. The shoulders are cast into the sleeper during the manufacturing process. Cast-in shoulders hold the rail at the correct gauge and set the correct FASTCLIP deflection. Lateral loads tranfered to the concrete.

REPLACEABLE COMPONENTSFastclip FE RR is virtually maintenance free. In the rare event that a component requires replacement, the clip can be withdrawn easily.

AUTOMATIC TENSIONING Correct tensioning is automatically achieved when the clip is driven into the working position. FASTCLIP FE RR provides excellent creep resistance.

FULLY PRE-ASSEMBLED All FASTCLIP FE RR components can leave the sleeper factory fully preassembled on the sleeper. This provides huge savings in manpower, as well as reduced distribution and handling costs during track laying, stressing and rail changing.

SIMPLIFIED STRESSING All components remain captive during the rail stressing procedure. The clip is simply withdrawn back to the parked position to release the rail. Stressing rollers are available for use if required. The PANDROL FASTCLIP system is optimised when used with Rosenqvist clipping equipment and Vortok rollers.

THREADLESSThe Fastclip FE RR system has no threaded components, eliminating costly maintenance.

MECHANISED INSTALLATIONInstalling rail fastenings by mechanised equipment reduces the installed cost of the rail fastenings and can provide further savings during the life of the fastening each time the clips are removed and installed for rail maintenance activities. Clip application units can either be incorporated directly into the frame of a track laying train (no manpower required) or in free standing clipping equipment with small, medium and high output options available.
