New Features – Responsive Web Sites & CMS

AMP version of article pages

Because mainly traffic is coming from mobile devices, to

improve user experience for our mobile users, we have created

Pangea AMP articles. Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP)

Project is an open source initiative that publishers can create

mobile optimized content once and have it loaded instantly

everywhere.

Please, be aware that Google currently supports AMP

technology in 12 countries only: Brazil, Germany, Spain, France, United Kingdom, India, Indonesia, Italy,

Mexico, Japan, Russia, United States.

Only websites that produce content to those countries can expect their content to be visible AMP Pangea

articles on Google search pages on the local market. More info on the AMP project can be found on the official

Polygraph site: Joint VOA and RFE/RL project

Pangea Digital Team has been working a new site Polygraph, for which we create a new FactCheck content type

offering editors to write the statement with the information of an author and add a verdict. For new content

type, we developed FactCheck archive page and new widget layout.

Sharing content on the Responsive Web Sites

We created a new "Responsive.Sharing" configuration key which -- if you are a web admin -- allows you to

enable any social network you want to use for sharing. You can see all of possible sharing social network as a

default value in the system configuration. You can also set the order - as they are written, they will be displayed.

Telegram - for sharing and adding to Follow us widget

We received couple requests from services to be able to share content with Telegram. When you want to share a

content with Telegram, add "Telegram" to "Responsive.Sharing" configuration key. Please, do not forget to

localize "MobileSite.Social.ShareOnTelegram" key for the text displaying on the Telegram share button.

After Pangea Release 7.13, you can add Telegram to Follow us widget. If you are interested, please set up

account in the System Configuration with "MobileSite.Social.Telegram.UrlFollow", localize text for the title of

the button with "MobileSite.Social.FollowOnTelegram" localization key and add it to the widget by writing

Telegram to "Responsive.FollowUs" the key in the System Configuration.

Support of Tables on the Responsive Web Sites

During our review process all the HTML elements available CKEditor we’ve realized a poor

support of <TABLE> . This has been fixed as of Pangea 7.13 display, including all already created

tables. We simplified settings for editing a table in CKEditor up to the functionality.

Video sharing option

To increase social media sharing of live and on-demand video content, we have implemented a sharing option to

the video player. The options displayed in sharing overlay can be configured in CMS.

Simple captcha on Subscribe page

Because our IP were relisted on Spamhaus on a blacklist and all Hotmail and Yahoo domain users were not

receiving newsletter, we had to apply our Simple captcha on the Subscribe pages. If you have not localized the

Simple captcha yet, please go to Localization and translate all "SimpleCaptcha" keys. Couple services have been

using the simple captcha since the Pangea Release 7.12 for Pangea comments if enabled.

New layout – code name “Fred”

We developed a new widget layout for the content widget with black backgrounder, having a code name “Fred

widget”. After Pangea Release 7.13, users will be able to change the layout and to have the tile of the content

across the images. There is not possible to display introduction, but the layout has all general settings (display a

zone/ label/ time).

Based on the demand, we have enabled displaying introduction on the "Big Images"

BBG Direct Improvements

During this release we were focusing mail on the performance

with stability improvement, secondly we’ve adding a few features

to the Administration

User management

For deleted users was added new feature to able check their details which you could not before. So if you go to

user management and check "Show deleted users" you will still get the same list of users as you know it. But new

is button to display details "View detail" which provide you all the information like the user is active. We are

counting with following feature to include a reason why was user/affiliate deleted.

User management – quick insight about user statistics

To make decisions for administrators about previewed user easier in the way like to keep user active or disable

him, we are bringing quick overview about user activity directly into his "View detail" information. Provided

numbers are counted from the time of first registration of particular user so if you as administrator would like to

get more detailed information about user activity you have shortcut link leading you directly into Direct Insight

where you can see more. In this pop-up window you can easily decide if you want to delete user right the way or

spectate some others.

New Localization Keys

New keys will ready for translation in Pangea CMS as latest on Friday Oct-21, to localize the keys navigate to

Settings | Site Localization.
