PANVEL – NAVI MUMBAI (FUTURE SMART MEGA CITY OF MUMBAI)

1. Panvel is the Gateway to Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Located next to Kharghar, Panvel is a junction where Pune and Goa axis meet at Navi Mumbai. With the planned developments in MMR, Panvel is slated to become a central hub of Mumbai from where all places of Mumbai and Pune will be easily and quickly approachable. 2. (d) First fully planned Mega Smart city of Mumbai on modern lines by CIDCO and MSRDC. (e) Trans Harbour Link connecting Panvel to South Mumbai. (f) Multi Model Corridor connecting Panvel to North Mumbai.

3. Navi Mumbai South (Panvel Belt) is the focus area for development of Smart Cities in MMR. This smart city belt with modern infrastructure will become the most sought after destination. CIDCO has been designated to develop smart city in the Navi Mumbai Airport Influence Notified area (NAINA), which is approx 468 Sq Kms of area around the proposed airport. The development plan for the first phase comprising 23 villages has been approved for implementation. 4. The Maharashtra State Government has designated MSRDC as SPA (Special Planning Authority) to develop smart city along Mumbai – Pune Expressway corridor between Panvel and Khopoli. This belt is today the most sought after by all big developers like Hiranandani, Godrej, India bulls, Marathon, Tata Housing and many more. 5. The Infrastructure development in Mumbai is being planned in a manner to provide enhanced connectivity to the new Airport. Layout of wide roads, metro, local train and sea link will make Panvel the central hub of Mumbai and the right place to settle down in near future. 6.
