On Thursday, January 26, 2017, the Human Resource Team welcomed the very first new

employee, Alyssa Gibbs, to join the CFISD family using the new paperless OnBoarding

process. This is a major accomplishment for CFISD. To mark the occasion, Frankie Jackson,

CTO and Chairita Franklin, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, signed a certificate

that was presented to Alyssa.

When asked about her experience, Alyssa committed “ it is very easy to use and understand. It

took less then 10 minutes to complete”.

Great time savings for HR. The forms are complete and stored in Laserfiche without a piece of

paper being printed and scanned .

What's Next for OnBoarding. . .

Dave Clark and Mark Flores, Director of Payroll

Services, met to workout the details for payroll’s

section of the process. Six of the OnBoarding

documents are for payroll. Payroll plays an integral

part of the paperless onboarding process. The six

pages will be placed by document type and payroll

run date so that payroll can complete the onboarding

process and ensure that each new employee will be

Air Conditioning Service



Richard Hoffman coordinated and managed the maintenance service on the air

conditioners in Data Center 3. This preventative service is critical to the success of

the CFISD Network. With the weather changing drastically, it is imperative the that

environment in the data centers maintain a consistent temperature point.

College Readiness



Dorothy Tong and Susan Firth, Director of Advanced Academics, put their thinking

caps on. To assist campuses, Susan requested that the ACT ASPIRE scores be

included in eSchoolPLUS, as well as, a new report be written in Cognos to include

ACT/SAT scores. Together, they collaborated to develop what the information will

look like.

PO Tracker Web Project



What a great project.

Frankie Jackson, CTO, saw an opportunity to

improve communication with the campuses and

the delivery schedules. This lead to a collaboration

between ISA and AAS to develop the PO Tracker.

Geoffrey Brown is developing the web pages and

Son Nguyen is passing the data to Geoffrey for

importing to Caspio (cloud services).

Wednesday, January 24, 2017.

The team discussed plans for the upcoming year:

The ISA PEIMS Team members, Marta Bott, Pat Maldonado, Norma Blenderman, and Renee

Peel held their departmental T5 Meeting on Wednesday, January 25, 2017.

The team discussed events for near future. We will be completing a TEA Audit and reporting to

the Office of Civil Rights Cypress-Fairbanks data for the 2015 school year.

This week the ISA Leadership Team continued their journey through leadership

development on

Tuesday, January 25, 2017.

The team began a study of Tom Rath’s book:

“Strengths Finder”.

This book includes an assessment that helps you find your strengths. After completing the

online assessment, you are presented with a list of your individual greatest strengths. This

is beneficial in truly connecting.

Each leader completed the survey and received their (5) main Strengths, as identified by

the assessment. You can view our strength matrix here.

This week, with Mable Isles assistance, I completed the Mid-

Year PEIMS submission. This is a great way to wrap up

January.

I am looking forward to February and the challenges and

opportunities it will bring!
