The Gannon Loomis Memorial Scholarship at Island School

This scholarship has been created to honor the memory of Gannon Loomis. Gannon and his sister, Megan, were inspirations for the founding of Island School until his untimely death at age fifteen in 1976. Megan became one of the school's first students as a fifth grader when it opened in January 1977. Their mother, Diana Loomis Dahl, is one of the seven Founding Mothers and the donor of this scholarship.

The Gannon Loomis Memorial Scholarship will recognize an Island School student who excels in science, math, and the performing arts, with a special emphasis on music.

• Completed application and personal statement.

• Current transcript of grades.
