Parent Newsletter St. Anne’s Catholic School Nov. 13, 2019 | Volume 1 | Issue 14 Important Dates Nov. 14th Thanksgiving Luncheon Nov. 19-21 Parent/Teacher conferences Nov. 19-21 Minimum days 12:00pm dismissal Nov. 22nd Thanksgiving Prayer Service 9:15am Nov. 25th- 29th Thanksgiving Vacation PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES: Parent-Teacher conferences will be held from November 19th- 21st. Letters with date and time of conference were mailed out to families last week. MINIMUM DAYS: November 19th – 21st will be minimum days due to parent/teacher conferences. Dismissal will be at 12:00 pm. Campus Care will be available, students will need to bring a lunch from home if staying in Campus Care as we do not serve hot lunch on minimum days. THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON: Please join your child at this year’s Thanksgiving Luncheon tomorrow. Everyone is welcome. The lunch fee of $5.25 per student will be automatically charged to each family through their Smart Tuition account. This is the cost for the student's lunch. All other family members are free. If your child/children will not be attending the luncheon, please notify the office by returning the attached form (only if not attending). Seating times for lunch will be by last name as follows: K-Z @ 11:45 – 12:30 pm A-J @ 12:45 – 1:30 pm Please see attached flyer. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON: The luncheon committee is still in need of servers for the first lunch. Please contact Mrs. Tina Ortiz if you can help. HARVEST FEST DEBRIEF MEETING: Interested in how much money we raised at the Harvest Fest this year? Do you have any constructive feedback or ways you think we can improve the event? Interested in making a larger role in 2020? Here is your chance! We will be having a Harvest Fest Debrief Meeting on Monday, November 18th at 6pm in the 8th Grade classroom. If you have any questions, please contact Kevin Torell at (510) 340-8215 or [email protected]. THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY: The Thanksgiving Holiday will be from November 25th – 29th. The school office will be closed all week. Please plan accordingly for your scrip purchases. ST. ANNE’S CRAB DINNER: Rockin' Crab Feed Tickets On Sale! This year's crab feed dinner fundraiser will be Saturday January 18th, 2020 and tickets are on sale now! They can be purchased online at http://www.stanneslodi.org/crabfeed or in the school office by completing the attached ticket order form. Last year's event sold out so don't miss out and get your tickets as soon as possible. If you have any questions contact Hilda Sousa, Event Chair at 916-396-0012 or via email at [email protected]. ATTENTION PARENTS: Please do not cross the street until the crossing guard is in the middle of the street. We ask everyone to follow the lead of the crossing guard and set an example for the children. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated. CANNED FOOD DRIVE: November's Virtue of the month is Generosity. Saint Anne's Student Council is leading a canned food drive from Wednesday November 13 until Friday November 22. We are challenging all students to be generous and bring in three cans of food. The food collected will be donated to the Catholic Charities Food Bank. PARADE OF LIGHTS: Tell us about your traditions! Hello St. Anne's families, we need your help! This years Parade of Lights will be on Thursday, December 5, 2019. The theme is 'Christmas around the world'. If you have any traditions, please send them into your parade coordinators so we can try to coordinate as many different traditions into our floats. BINGO SCHEDULE: Please be sure to check the Bingo schedule on Educate for your assigned shift. Please email Cari with questions at [email protected] or call 813-433-4242. SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS: All parent volunteers must be fingerprinted and cleared through the Diocese of Stockton, need to fill out a volunteer packet, and do an online course at http://www.virtusonline.org in order to volunteer in the classroom or go on field trips. Packets are available in the office. BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION: The Box Tops for Education program is changing the way we can earn cash for our school. HELP NEEDED FOR BINGO SET-UP: Occasionally, funeral outreach services are scheduled on Fridays in the parish hall. When this occurs, BINGO table set-up occurs at 2:00pm. The set-up takes approximately one hour. We are in need of anyone who might be able to help with this set-up, please contact Mrs. Herold at 333.7580. LIBRARY VOLUNTEERS: We are still in need of Library volunteers! We especially need to fill the 7th grade once a month slot from 12:50-1:32pm on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. We also are in need of help for the 5th grade every Wednesday from 2:05-2:45pm. Please contact Mrs. Mar if interested. SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR: The Book Fair is coming December 9th-13th. If you would like to volunteer to earn SOS hours, please contact Alyssa High at 209-479-0226 or [email protected]. More information will be coming soon. REMEMBERANCE CARDS: During the month of November we will remember your deceased family members and friends at all of our school Masses.

AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES FROM CAMPUS CARE: !If your child will be in need of attending sports practice, Rel. Ed. classes, or any extra curricular activity during the time they are signed into Campus Care, you will need to fill out an After School Activities Permission slip. Students will not be allowed to leave Campus Care without this form. The permission slip is attached. ST. ANNE’S SPIRIT STORE: We are happy to announce the opening of our St. Anne’s Spirit Store. Items purchased through the store are for Thursday spirit days, weekends, and after school. Orders will be done online through the link below. Once you have placed an order please allow 10 business days for your items to be delivered directly to your student to bring home. If you have any questions or issues, please email Christina Moreno at [email protected]. http://st-annes-spirit-store.myshopify.com/ THANKSGIVING PRAYER SERVICE: Please join us for a Thanksgiving Prayer Service on Friday, November 22nd at 9:15am in the church. SCHOOL SWEATSHIRT ORDER: If you are in need of a school sweatshirt, please turn in your order by Monday, Nov. 18th. We need to collect a total of 12 orders for it to be placed with the vendor. Order form is attached. CHRISTMAS PAGEANT: Our annual Christmas Pageant will be held on Wednesday, December 11th at 7:00pm in the church. Every student is expected to be there. Each individual who makes up a class of singers is as important as everyone else in the play. Please mark your calendars.
