Dear Parent/Guardian,
What a year it has been at Joliet Catholic Academy! It is hard to believe another school year is near its close; however, it has been a wonderful year. The Joliet Catholic Academy family has so much to celebrate. Some of this year’s successes include our school wide Retreat and Service Day, all the National Honors Societies Induction Ceremonies, all of our athletic team accomplishments, Hall of Champions, Hall of Fame, our school plays, musicals, and concerts, successful Open Houses, another very successful Jubilate, Career Day, the Hilltopper Alumni Banquet, and SO much more!
As you can see, we have much to be grateful for within our school community. These accomplishments, and so many other everyday accomplishments that might go unmentioned, are the reason JCA is what it is today. We come together as a family to celebrate each other, to encourage each other, to work together, to serve the Lord, and to live out the Mission of Joliet Catholic Academy. All of these things and so much more are possible because of the continuous dedication from our parents, our faculty and staff, our students, and all the friends of Joliet Catholic Academy.
As we move into the month of May, we have several more exciting events ahead. We have the Mother’s Day Mass for Juniors and Seniors on Friday, May 6th in the Student Activity Center. Our seniors will be celebrating their Baccalaureate Mass and Senior Honors Night on Wednesday, May 18th at The Cathedral of St. Raymond. Graduation is on Sunday, May 22nd in the Student Activity Center. The underclassmen will have their Honors Celebration during school on Tuesday, May 23rd. We look forward to all of these important events and the opportunities to celebrate so many accomplishments!
In true JCA tradition let us continue to support our students as they prepare for final exams, as we send our seniors off to college, and as we close another outstanding school year! Let’s work together to finish this school year strong!
Please spend time reflecting all of the experiences your child has had at JCA this year. If you have any suggestions that you would like to share with the administration, please feel free to contact anyone of us at any time. We look forward to hearing from you!
From all of us at JCA, we wish you and your family a blessed, safe, and fun summer. Sincerely,
Laura PahlVice Principal for Curriculum and Technology

We Believe in Angels!
Head Coach Christine Scheibe
Christine Scheibe is entering her 17th year as the head coach of the Angels volleyball program. During her tenure the Angels have been regulars in the IHSA State Finals at Redbird Arena on the campus of Illinois State University. The Angels have brought home eight state trophies during that time period -- including three state championships, three runner-up finishes, a third-place finish, and a fourth-place finish. JCA’s record under Scheibe in that span is 490-137-9. The Angels also have a 13-6 record at Redbird Arena, playing against the best of the best in Class AA and then in Class 3A when the IHSA moved to a four-class system. In 2009, the announcers on the IHSA broadcast of the state championship match described JCA girls volleyball as the “team of the decade.” The Angels have appeared in back-to-back state finals in 2014 and 2015, finishing as state runner-up each season. Since 2000, 54 players in the program have gone on to compete at the collegiate level, an average of 3.4 student-athletes per graduating class.
