Evellen Tawdros is an experienced early childhood educator, Tuning in to kids and teens practitioner and Engaging adolescents and Play power facilitator. Adam Johns is a clinical psychologist at Child and Family East with a focus on supporting children's emotional and social development. Dr Debbie Perkins is an experienced paediatrician at Sydney Children's Hospital with extensive experience conducting community talks. Bronwynn Jursik is a child and family services team leader and is an accredited Triple P, Triple P stepping stones group and Play power facilitator. Working extensively with children with additional needs, supported playgroups, child development and parenting support. Ruming Yang is a social worker and accredited Play power and 1,2,3 Magic and emotion coaching facilitator with extensive experience in supported playgroups and child development. Madeleine Winter is a parent and instructor with Hand in Hand Parenting. She provides parents with practical listening tools to build and maintain connection while providing effective limits. Brainstorm Productions is proud to tour live, innovative, interactive educational theatre that brings about positive social change through a range of positive behavioural programs.

Sticks and Stones (K to 6) Entertaining and educational theatre that depicts a range of tools to help reduce the instances of bullying in school and create harmonious relationships within our community. Will you play with me? Using play to build children’s confidence and resilience, resolving tensions and strengthening connection between adult and child. Homework Hassles: How to help your child (5 to 12 years old) Learn how to build the connection with your child that is the foundation for effective learning, and help them with hard feelings and frustrations that crop up around learning.

Antonia Folden is a qualified early childhood educator with over 20 years’ experience in child development, positive behaviour techniques and school readiness. Jennifer Wu is an accredited facilitator of many groups: 123 Magic, Engaging adolescents, Circle of security, Protective behaviours and Bringing up great kids. She has 20 years experience working with families and children providing child development and parenting support. Ana Chacar is an accredited 123 Magic and Engaging adolescents facilitator with casework experience working with families and children. Kristy Greenlees is a qualified early childhood and parenting educator, and coordinator of the Randwick and Botany supported playgroup service. Tina Gouskos is a qualified early childhood teacher with extensive experience working with children 0 -12 years old as well as being a strong advocate of children’s social and emotional wellbeing.

Triple P parenting seminars Skills such as good communication, appropriate behaviour, discipline and setting ground rules to build positive relationships with your children with special needs. Play power Brain development and ideas for play activities using everyday items. Opportunity to ask questions and share parenting experiences. Grandparents as carers An information session for grandparents who have taken on the caring role for their grandchildren. Practical tips and support for those who are new to this role. 123 Magic and emotion coaching Understand the nature of discipline and get better results with less effort and stress when dealing with your child’s behaviour. Dads/granddads/male carers bonding with bubs A hands on workshop for any male carers and their babies, full of practical information on feeding, sleeping and settling, infant communication and play as well as the challenges of being a father and carer. Single parents/carers support group A safe weekly support group for parents and carers to learn about a range of topics that might assist with parenting including Family Court, positive co-parenting and healthy eating. Cheap Thrills—families with teens Educational theatre for the whole family that tackles the consequences of risk-taking and substance abuse. This fast paced one man show is about that split second when we reach a crossroad, make a choice and possibly change our lives forever.

Bringing up great kids (for children of any age) Supporting parents to examine the evolution of their parenting style and the messages they pass on to their children. Learn about brain development and how to meet a child’s growing needs. Build attentive communication skills with your child. ** Entry criteria apply Homemade play Explore how to foster your child’s imagination using everyday things at home and the outdoors. Play workshops for parents and their children (various ages) Find out how children learn through play and what toys are suitable for each stage of their development. These separate sessions are for different age groups; please ensure you have selected the correct session. Circle of security An eight-week program that aims to increase enjoyment, connection and security in the relationship between parents and children through assisting parents to understand and respond to the emotional needs of their children. Tuning in to kids A six-week course that teaches parents the skills they need to help their children understand and manage emotions, whilst increasing attachment. Dads tuning in to kids A four-week program held on Saturdays that gives fathers/step/grandfathers the skills they need to help their children understand and manage their emotions, while increasing connection with their children. Tantrums and behaviour management A workshop aimed at keeping you connected with your kids, dealing with issues that may arise during the festive season and strategies to help you cope.
