Eiffel Tower - is an iron tower built during 1887-1889 on the Champ de Mars beside the River Seine in Paris. The tower has become a global icon of France and is one of the most recognisable structures in the world. Named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel, the Eiffel Tower is the tallest building in Paris. More than 200,000,000 people have visited the tower since its construction in 1889, making it the most visited paid monument in the world. Including the 24 m (79 ft) antenna, the structure is 324 metres (1,063 ft) high (since 2000), which is equivalent to about 81 levels in a conventional building.

The Louvre - Opened on 10 August 1793, the Louvre is the national museum of France, the most visited museum in the world, and a historic monument. The museum is housed in the Louvre Palace, located on the Right Bank of the Seine and houses everything from sculptures, decorative art, antiquities to paintings such as the world famous Mona Lisa.

The principle responsibility of the Louvre is to conserve, protect, restore, and develop France's national art treasures, from the early royal collections to the most recent acquisitions. The priceless artworks housed in the Louvre are held for the benefit of present and future generations.
