MEMBER PROFILE

The Mantifel Family Sarah, Dylan, Maggie, Charlie and John

Sarah and Dylan met in high school in Barry’s Bay and started dating in 2003. They were married at Sarah’s home parish St. Ann’s Church in Cormac in 2008, after taking the marriage prep course at St. Alphonsus Church. They started attending St. Alphonsus Liguori Church in 2007.

Sarah is a Gr. 3 teacher at St. Alphonsus School and Dylan is a firefighter for Peterborough Fire Services. They feel so fortunate to have been blessed with three beautiful children. Maggie age 5, Charlie age 3 and John age 1. We feel blessed to be part of an active parish where we can gather with friends for fellowship, our children can learn through the Sunday school program and our family can nurture our faith.

THANK YOU FLOWERS

Thank you to Judy Girard and Anne-Marie Robertson for beautifying our sanctuary with flowers the last several years - especially for special occasions. You have done amazing work!

We are now looking for someone to continue this ministry. If you have an interest in flower arrangements your expertise would be most welcome. Please see us at the Welcome Desk or call the parish office.

We are again looking for help for the bake table - cakes, muffins, brownies, cookies, pies, candies, fudge, etc. Also donations for our ‘New to You’ table. Please bring your donations to the Parish Hall Friday, November 3rd from 5 - 7PM. Thank you.

MESSAGE SERIES: WAVELENGTHWhen it comes to our thinking, we do not always give it much thought. How we think about life ultimately determines our actions and our destiny. How we think about a problem will determine the decisions we make. How we think about a person determines the health of our relationships. Thinking effects the state of our hearts and impacts all of our lives. To love God and to love others we must take responsi-bility for our thought life. We have to grow in our abil-ity to think. We need to learn to think as God thinks and view the world as God does. When we learn to think and view the world as God does it will be easier for us to do as God says.
