Sunday of Divine Mercy
Now a week later his disciples were again inside and Thomas
was with them. Jesus came, although the doors
were locked, and stood in their midst and said, "Peace be with you."
Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here and see my
hands, and bring your hand and put it into my side,
and do not be unbelieving, but believe."

Many thanks to all of you who have contributed to the Annual Partners in Charity Appeal.
We have several new donors this year and hope everyone who has not contributed will consider doing so this weekend. In each pew there are envelopes to make your donation. Every gift is important and every contribution is greatly appreciated by those who need our help the most.
Please consider making a pledge this year. Pledging made it possible for me to increase my annual gift this year. Consider $10.00 for ten months or $25.00 for 4 months. Please help us reach our $65,000. goal by taking an envelope home with you today and making your gift this week.
Your contribution to Partners in Charity helps the Diocese of Worcester to care for our retired priests, reach out to families in crisis, turn childhood despair into hope, foster the religious formation of our young people, support vocations to the priesthood and protect and defend those whose lives are most vulnerable. Your gift can make a difference in someone’s life. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR GENEROSITY.
Please remember in your prayers John and Rossana Marcotte, parents of Vanessa Marcotte. Vanessa grew up in Our Lady
of the Lake Parish. Father Hoey baptized her, and Msgr. Jim was pastor when she made her First Communion here. These are difficult days for her parents, as you can imagine, and our prayerful support of them will be greatly appreciated.
The new large gold communion plate that was
used for the first time at the Easter Vigil was given
by Vanessa’s parents in loving memory of their
beloved daughter. May she rest in peace.
Our Holy Week celebrations were just beautiful! Beautiful liturgy doesn’t just happen. So much time and talent goes into preparing, planning and practicing so that when the parish family comes together the celebration is spiritually rich for everyone. Many visitors from near and far commented on how much they enjoyed celebrating these sacred days at Our Lady of the Lake. The music was fantastic, the lectors read so well, Eucharistic minsters were so reverent, the greeters were so welcoming, our altar servers were just fabulous, and the church was beautifully decorated. Thank you all!
SUNDAY OF DIVINE MERCY
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
REGISTRATION! In the quest to complete our registration process for the 2017-2018 school year before the summer break and while we still have clerical help, we are asking parents to register your children when you bring them for classes. Registration forms may be picked up, completed and left for us on the table outside the Religious Ed. Office in the Parish Family Center. Each form is numbered as it comes in. Although we try to honor your choice, we can only guarantee your choice of day for the first 100 families. Early registration is to your advantage as parents retain the ability to make changes to your choice of day up until mid August, should your schedule change later on in the spring. Questions? Please call the Religious Ed Office.
Coffee Shop Help Needed! Starting in September (after the bazaar) we will be in need of a person or persons who would be willing to set up the
schedule and coordinate the volunteers, gained through the Religious Ed Program, and another person to pick up the donuts at the Leominster Dunkin Donuts and deliver them by 8-8:15AM each Sunday from mid-September to the end of May. We supply the cash payment. This is a perfect service opportunity for someone who routinely goes to the 8AM Mass! Please call Lisa at 342-2978, x109 if you can help. Thanks!
Please keep the following individuals in your prayers as
we pray for their recovery and well being.

The decorated white “Give New
Life” bags for our Food Pantry were
given out or were taken by those
who wish to help those in need of
food after each Mass last weekend.
There are still bags available at the
church entrances. A list of non-perishable items that
we give out in our food pantry is in each bag. These
bags of food will help to stock our food pantry
shelves. The bags of food may be returned anytime
during the Easter Season and left at the entrances to
the church. Thank you for your support.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
CO-SPONSORED BY
OUR LADY OF THE LAKE PARISH AND
ST. BERNARD’S ELEMENTARY PARISH
July 31st to August 4th, 2017
9:30AM to 12:30PM
This summer, our parish will collaborate with St. Bernard’s Parish once again to sponsor a Vacation Bible School at St. Bernard’s Elementary School. We need lots of help to make this happen. If you are interested, please call Father Dennis as soon as possible. Joyce Leite from St. Bernard’s would like someone from our parish to co-chair the event with her. We also need at least ten other adults and ten young adults who would be willing to work at the bible school. More than this would be great! Everyone is welcome to join in making this a fun-filled event for our children. We need storytellers, teachers, teacher aides, and of course snack helpers! It was great fun last year. Let’s keep this tradition going. Call today if you can help. Information will be given to all of our children this week.
Throughout the 50 days of the Easter Season, we remember at Mass all those whose names are written on the Easter Flower Offering envelopes. Thank you for our generosity.
Any remaining CRS Rice Bowls may be placed in the baskets located at the church entrances.
MEET AND GREET BREAKFAST SUNDAY, APRIL 30TH
The Pastoral Council will sponsor a meet and greet breakfast next Sunday, April 30th following the 8AM and 9:45AM Masses. This year several new families have joined our parish, and this will be a great opportunity for us to welcome them!
Please join us for pancakes, eggs, bacon, muffins and jelly. Please sign up after Mass or call the parish office by Thursday, April 27th at 978-342-2978.
Next Sunday, we invite everyone to wear a nametag which will be available on your way into church. This is another wonderful way for us to get to know one another. Thanks.
Thank you to the Boy Scouts and their leaders for doing a great job cleaning the church. Everything looked nice and clean for Easter! Special thanks to all who provided the reception after the Easter Vigil. Everything was delicious!
The Montachusett Choral will present its 25th Anniversary Spring Concert on Sunday, April 30th at 2PM in Tata Auditorium at Leominster City Hall, 25 West Street. Father Carlos’ Pills of Faith
Sunday of Divine Mercy
“All who believed were together and had all things in common. Everyday
they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple area and to breaking bread in their homes.” What better way to celebrate and to enjoy the resurrection of Jesus and the new life he gives than being together with our brothers and sisters. Is this not what we do here? Our parish family shares all things in common, we love and support each other, we worry and pray for those in need, we break the bread every Sunday as Jesus commanded us, we live as followers of Christ. Let us give thanks to God for calling us to be part of this Christian family and for allowing us to enjoy our lives and share our faith with all those who love what we love: Jesus our friend who is risen and full of life in our hearts. Together we say, Alleluia. Alleluia!
Please remember to notify the Parish Office if you have changed your email address. If you are a Eucharistic Minister, Altar Server, or Lector, please make the change in the Ministry Schedule website at:
http://www.rotundasoftware.com/ministry/OLTL_Leominster
Please call the parish office if you have any questions. Thank you!
Your generosity has helped many people!
During the weeks of April 2nd, 9th, and 16th, 87 bags of food were distr ibuted.
Church Renovation Committee Update As you know, the Church Renovation Committee has been meeting for nearly two years. Msgr. Jim has been gracious enough to patiently lead us through this process so that we can determine what needs to be done to enhance the beauty of our parish Church. As you can see, the church is badly in need of painting, the rug is worn and ripped in many places, the ceiling tiles are constantly in need of repair and the lighting continues to be poor in most parts of the Church. A vision document was presented to you at the open town meeting last fall. Within the next few weeks the committee will meet with the architect we have selected to take the suggestions we have formulated to the next level. After that meeting we will hold another open town meeting to provide you with updated information on the progress of this endeavor. Copies of the vision document are available at the parish office for anyone who would like a copy. Please feel free to speak with Father Dennis about any of this at any time.
