Gerald C. Murray
The Knights of Columbus would like to congratulate Gerald Murray
as the Knight of The Month. Jerry has been a Knight for a few years
now. Jerry helps out with our parking duties at the UD, as well as
our roadside cleanup duty. The Parish and the Knight's greatly ap-
preciate your dedication and commitment.
Social Justice Reflection Sacred Scripture continually speaks to us of an active commitment
to our neighbor and demands of us a shared responsibility for all of
humanity. This duty is not limited to one's own family, nation or
state, but extends progressively to all . . . so no one can consider
himself or herself extraneous or indifferent to the lot of another
member of the human family.

Marriage Moments Ways to Turn Your Beloved Off #3 - Let Noise Surround You.
Some noises are happy and express life. But sometime noise is just a
distraction or an irritation. Is there enough quiet space in your rela-
tionship to simply be present to each other's graceful being?
Parenting Pointers All families have stories that they tell over and over. One gen-
re is the vacation-disaster story. These stories are important because
they say this family can not only survive adversity but can laugh at it
and keep on loving each other. Tell a story.

Are you Being Called to God? In today’s second reading, St. Paul reminds the Thessalonians that
they have been chosen by God. All those who have been washed in
the waters of baptism have been chosen by God as members of the
Body of Christ. From among these, God chooses and calls some to
serve His people as priests, deacons, religious sisters or religious
brothers. Is He calling you? What steps are you taking to find out?

The Pharisees time and time again are seen attempt-
ing to trap Jesus, but each time He has a way of turn-
ing things back at them. It is Christ’s trust and reliance of the truth
that allows this to occur. We too must trust in the truth. As beings
created in the image and likeness of God we should be rendering
ourselves to Him. Today our beliefs and values are often questioned.
We need to remind ourselves that despite what the world says, the
truth has been revealed to us through Christ. Do you stand by this
truth despite living in a society that rejects it? Christ has shown us
that we do not need to compromise our values, no matter the societal
pressures. Turning to the Holy Spirit for guidance is a great way to
strengthen your resolve. What other ways can you strengthen you
conviction and stand up for the truth?
