The baptism, marriage and burial register, 1593-1668 has been repaired and re-bound, but many entries are now illegible. It contains full entries for the Civil War and Commonwealth period (1640-1660).
The baptism, marriage and burial entries between 1704-1727 are arranged by township as follows:
• Brynpolyn, Cyrchynan and Gwernglefryd• Bodelwyddan, Pengwern and Vaynol• Meriadog and Wigfair (Denbighshire part of the parish)• Bodeugan, Cilowen, Gwerneigron, Rhyllon and Talar
The volumes during this period include some entries relating to persons from outside St Asaph parish. After 1727, the entries were no longer arranged by township, but covered the whole parish.
Copies of terriers approved at vestry meetings, 11th July 1774 and 8th July 1791, are included at the back of the burial register, 1750-1812.
Details of burials from 1859 at the Cathedral are held at the Cathedral.

The marriage register, 1597-1690, contains entries in the hand of Philip Henry; at the front of the volume is a note on the unlicensed erection of seats in the church, 1631.
The baptism, marriage and burial register, 1683-1745, contains duplicate entries of the earlier register. It also contains a list of churchwardens, 1683-1743.
The baptism and burial register, 1794-1817, was the Parish Clerk’s draft register. A note by the Rector, dated 1859, at the front of the volume, states that it was purchased from the clerk’s family, and that it was ‘supposed to contain many entries omitted to be entered in the parish register’.
The marriage register, 1754-1820, largely ends in 1812 but contains two entries for 1817 and 1820, which were also copied into the next register, 1813-1836.
