New Year’s Prayer
Another year is dawning
with the chance to start anew.
May I be kinder, wiser, Lord,
in all I say and do.
Not so caught up in selfish gain
that I would fail to see.
The things in life that mean the most
cost not a fancy fee.
The warm, kind word that I can give,
the outstretched hand to help.
The prayers I pray for those in need –
more precious these than wealth.
I know not what may lie ahead
of laughter or of tears;
I only need to know each day
that You are walking near.
I’m thankful for this brand new year
as now I humbly pray.
My hand secure in Yours, dear Lord,
each step along the way.

Park Manor Care
Park Manor Care has a fundraising opportunity with Safeway and Sobeys gift cards for
groceries. Each gift card sold will generate a 10% donation to our building fund.
This fundraiser is a great chance to get the entire community involved in our project – make
a donation and still get your entire gift card purchase worth in groceries!
We hope everyone will take a sign-up sheet and sell to family and friends, while spreading
the word about our exciting new building for the community.
Cards can be picked up at the main office.
Help us make this a fun and successful fundraiser!
Best Wishes for a happy and prosperous
New Year!!

New Year’s Reflections
Looking back on the months gone by,
As a new year starts and an old one ends, We contemplate what brought us joy,
We think of loved ones and our volunteer friends.
Recalling all the happy times,
remembering how they enriched our lives, We reflect upon who really counts,
As the fresh and bright new year arrives.
And when we ponder those who do, we immediately think of you.
Thanks for being one of the reasons We'll have a Happy New Year!

Friends are like Angels
who brighten our days,
in all kinds of wonderful,
magical ways.
Their thoughtfulness comes
as a gift from above,
and we feel we’re surrounded
by warm caring love.
Like upside down rainbows
their smiles bring the sun,
and they fill ho-hum moments
with laughter and fun.
Friends are like Angels
without any wings,
blessing our lives
with the most precious things.
Hello, Hello, Hello …
From the Adult Day Program
A Very Happy New Year to all!
We had a busy and enjoyable Christmas in the ADP. It started off with decorating, and more is more over here, of course. The craft we made this year was a snowman tea light pin, very cute faces we drawn by all. Also some painted a festive snowman ornament. Gingerbread was baked, decorated and eagerly eaten. We had music, always a favourite, it was once more a hit.
Both of our ADP Christmas Luncheons were successful. We had a hot lunch complete with turkey, stuffing, mixed vegetables, potatoes, gravy, coleslaw and meatballs. We had punch and yummy trifle for dessert. Santa arrived, jovial and with gifts for all. They received a candy train complete with a caramel for the smokestack and peppermint patties for the wheels as well as more chocolates assembled to form a train. We had music for entertainment. Shauna sang Thursday. Christine and Henry warmed up for the choir and Life Skills group from Murdoch McKay on Friday.
To celebrate New Year’s we had a toast some sparkling apple juice and some treats.
We wish to thank everyone for their help
with our Christmas lunches (many contribute in a variety ways), this all helps things come together in the end. Also for all the well wishes and cards, truly appreciated. From the ADP Staff
